Interpretation of contractual obligations & rights and evaluation of Technical / Financial problems for Management reporting within FIDIC conditions of contract.

Site & Construction Management
Supervising all construction activities including providing technical inputs for methodologies of construction & coordination with Site Management.
Involved in conducting Field survey-site planning and submitting the same to the concerned.
Coordinating with different stake holders for various trades and resolving bottlenecks.
Liaison with local authorities for clearances and approvals.
Coordinating with consultants, contractors and clients for smooth functioning of the construction.

Quality Assurance / Control
Preparation and review of Method Statements, Work Specific Quality Control Plans, Inspection and test plans, HSE documents etc
Inspection of works and materials for compliance to specifications and drawings.

Resource Planning and Monitoring
Project scheduling and monitoring using P3 /Sure Track resources loaded network application.
Identify shortcomings in the delivery of work, man, material, and machinery and suggest corrective measures.

Details: Leading a team of engineers for managing the design and construction of flyovers to replace railway level crossings. The work involves cast –in-site RCC pile foundation, Piers, RCC / Pre-stressed girders and deck slab. Conduct regular site inspection to ensure proper supervision, monitoring the project for conformance to contract requirements and specifications, liaising between site management team, design consultants and contractors, conduct weekly review meetings, negotiate and resolve problems and disputes and discharge all duties and responsibilities of Engineer as per FIDIC conditions of contract.

Title: Airport – Seaport Highway Project
Worth of Project: Rs.1000 million

Details: The Project involved planning and construction of a new highway of 30 km length from concept to commissioning. Monitored and scrutinized the pre-tender activities. Reviewed the design drawings, schedules and QA/QC plans and recommended alterations / modifications / approval as applicable. Ensured deliverables from design consultant and site supervision team are in compliance with the contract requirements. Ensured proper supervision and quality control by leading a team of 15 engineers. Analyzed, negotiated, resolved, settled, and/or made recommendation regarding claims, conflicts and disputes. As a result of the extensive follow up and co-ordination, Phase – I of the project, including two Road Over Bridges has been successfully completed within the targeted 2-year period within the initial contract price of Rs.350 million

Details: The project involved engineering and management service for the construction of a 5 km road. Responsible for Coordinating with ministry of IT and Industry. With proper planning, coordination and monitoring on a day-to-day basis, the project was completed within the deadline. Received appreciation for the completion of approach road in time.

Title: Kerala Expressway Project
Worth of Project: Rs. 60 billion
Client: Government of Kerala
Role: Project Coordination
Details: The project involved the feasibility study of a 507 km long Access Controlled Expressway in the State of Kerala. Prepared the Request for Proposal (RFP) as per guidelines of The World Bank for Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) procedure. Evaluated the proposals and prepared recommendation for acceptance. Coordinated and monitored the activities of the appointed consultant M/s. Lea Associates South Asia Pvt. Ltd. Reduced the alignment length and improved connectivity. Critically reviewed the preliminary design, costing and feasibility analysis. Prepared a multi-media presentation on the project for presenting to the Ministry.

Coordinating work with various agencies and performed duties including bidding, site inspection, review of progress and project documentation, certification of bills for payment etc. With proper coordination and teamwork, all works were completed in the scheduled time.
