RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Rio Grande Rift. Using mapping and field data to decipher the overlap relationship of Laramide orogeny and Rio Grande Rift in southwest Texas.
Precambrian Geology. I am interested in the continent evolution of Precambrian. Currently I am working on the influence of 1.4Ga pluton intrusion on continental accretion of North America which is rooted by determining the P-T history and the complicated structural revolution in the country rock around pluton. Fabric data and samples from Needle Mountains, Colorado were collected during last three years. Making thin section by myself; observing microstructure under microscope; collecting crystal preferred orientation data by using universal stage; compositional analysis for P-T calculation and monazite dating by using microprobe occupied most of my time.
