Partner - Founded and operated residential remodeling/construction firm, with son as partner. Established estimating, accounting and administrative formats. Took care of all marketing, sales and administrative duties. Established marketing practices. Completed over 30 projects in 2001, 35 projects in 2002 and 30+ projects in 2003. Took care of permitting & licensing. Completed ICBO certification.
1998-2000 Western Summit Constructors, Denver, Colorado.
Scheduler - Gained experience in the creation and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera Project Planner software. Projects involved with were valued from $6-20 million and had up to 1400 discrete operations, procurement and administrative activities. Researched to establish a standardized company-wide approach to project scheduling. Methods that allowed the most effective planning, tracking early detection of problems, accounting for unanticipated schedule impacts, and pro-active positioning in the event of contact claims were researched. Worked with schedule formats that provided for optimum subcontractor coordination.

1996 - 1997 Lyntek Services, Inc., Denver, Colorado
Production Manager - Managed shop fabrication operations and administration for an engineering/construction organization. The facility made process units, primarily for the mining and environmental remediation industry. Created tracking structure for gauging productivity and planning for improvement. This included establishing cost and activity codes, more detailed tracking of overhead activity, improving budget-vs.-actual cost accounting and accelerating the delivery of project status updates. Improved workforce quality and versatility. Provided improved liaison between engineering, construction, accounting and marketing personnel. Completed 5 year Business and Operations Plan.
Participated in logistics coordination for a mine construction project at a remote Alaska site. Developed tracking format for a logistics pipeline that included trucking, ocean ship and barge, river (Yukon) barge and C-130 air transport segments. Performed site receiving, storage and disbursement duties at the construction site.

Technical Coordinator - Provided technical and cost analysis with administrative support during efforts to determine appropriate and cost effective remedial project strategies. Work included completing site background investigations, evaluation of technology vendor offerings, scope-of-work determinations, coordination of off-site waste disposal, development of monitoring, sampling and analysis programs, proposal assembly- particularly cost estimating- and tracking of direct operating costs. Process Plant Superintendent - Managed operations and production at a precious metals extraction and recovery plant. Responsible for consistent 24 hour/day operation by a staff of 30 operators and technicians. Unit components included ore placement and leaching, carbon adsorption/desorption/regeneration circuits, dore metal refining and the production lab. Developed plant operations and capital budgets ($2.3M/yr.), and operated at or below target costs. Restructured staff responsibilities, with increased emphasis on data gathering/ analysis by area supervisors. Improved financial and metallurgical accounting detail. Developed and directed a technical team that made significant and continuous improvement to process and operation efficiency.
Operations Foreman - Designed and implemented leach pad ore placement plan. Coordinated engineering, surveying, material handling and plant operations activities. Tracked ore tonnage and grade for gold/silver recovery projections.
Refinery Foreman - Supervised refining of precipitates into dore metal. Made improvements in process accountability.
