ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
------------
To whom it may concern,
I am a former Australian expatriate who has lived in both Germany and the United States for the past thirty-two years. I have recently returned home with my family and a wealth of experience that may be of benefit to you.
When you read my resume you will probably notice a few themes that colour my work experience. The resume shows that I have worked extensively with hazardous materials professionally and as a volunteer for more than thirty years. The resume also shows that I have spent many years preparing and presenting lessons concerning hazardous materials and industrial occupation safety and health.
Of course there is no way I could effectively do any of this without possessing the ability to lead and organize activities. I have lead training teams, office staffs, missile site security forces, ammunition recovery efforts and a rabies eradication team, just to name a few.
I began my working career at a age 18 and have always held the attitude that any new experience, no matter how mundane had something to offer and would possess some enjoyable aspect. This attitude led me to take jobs others refused. It gave me the experience of building a temporary six pad heliport in a cow pasture during a German winter. It had me organizing supplies, communications and transportation for a headquarters staff several times a year during a four year tour. On one occasion, I found myself representing the United States at a NATO conference on counter-observation at SHAPE Headquarters in Belgium.
On the other end of the spectrum, I am not averse to performing menial, dirty jobs. Twenty one years as a soldier and eleven years as a trainer have taught me to be willing to the job no matter what it entails. I can be quite happy writing, researching, organizing, building scaffold, driving a forklift, performing inventory and especially looking for a way to improve the work environment for myself and others.
My hobbies tend to reflect my work attitude. I enjoy woodworking immensely and often spend my weekends tinkering in the garage. I am quite optimistic by nature; this makes me and avid fisherman and Essendon supporter. I enjoy canoeing, swimming, backpacking, photography and exploring. I enjoy the company of my wife and three children and try to relax with my large extended family when time permits.
I have complete documentation to support all information presented on the resume and can provide it as well as a list of references upon request. (Some supporting information can be found simply by googling "geiberras" on the internet)
