Main Responsibilities and Achievements:
Linnea SA, pharmaceutical company from Switzerland, asked me to develop a camping intended to buy as much as possible of some seeds used (their principle) as medicine to enhance the memory.
I started campaigning in Ghana in November 2004 visiting interior farmers and explaining them the value of the plant mostly unknown by them. In August/September 2006, crop time, I was able to collect 625 MT for the company being the operation an unexpected success. Note that you need 150 fruits (size as a small orange) to produce one Kg of the dried seed, which is the product the pharmaceutical company buy. In other words: starting from zero I got local people to collect about 937,500,000 of fruits. Also I got for local farmers an average price of USD 5/Kg which has helped them a lot. Note that 1 cocoa Kg is paid today to farmers at no more than USD 1/kg.
In logistic terms, the organization of the project included:
Teaching campaign, producing techniques, obtaining on the semi-elaborate product, purchasing, distributing product in the proper collection centers throughout the country and in proper quantities, transportation, warehousing of goods, quality control, clearance and shipping until final destination (as they are being transferred from one country to another). All activities that deal with all aspects of procurement, movement and disposition of supplies, quality control equipment, facilities and personnel and the provision of services.
In warehousing management terms:
Effective and efficient execution of receipt, storage, preservation, generation and administration of goods and materials for company
Stock accuracy
Security of materials in warehouses and open yards
On time delivery from warehouse to shipping yards

At the arrival to Liberia of the UNMIL (end of 2003) I formed a Travel Agency to assist the mission with all related Travel issues as: Air travel of both Civil and Military, military rotations, repatriation of human remains, cargo, food logistics, visas, etc.
At the beginning of 2004 UNMIL awarded my company as official vendor of travel services to the mission and we start operating from Abidjan. After November 2004 (due unrest in Ivory Coast) we move to Ghana (as the UNMIL did). Today we have there more than 3000 private clients within the body.

I ensured that airport operations in all above areas run smoothly, in a cost-effective manner and that UN personnel is provided with quality service style- "taking you more personally", thus creating a competitive advantage for my company overall ground products and services. To keep the company flying during the last days of Charles Taylor in Liberia. We were the only company operating the country and I keep it (personally) running with rebels (LURD) in By-town – Monrovia and rebels (MODEL) in Buchanan and Taylor's people in between. Main Responsibilities and Achievements:
Full logistic operation to support logging expansion of the company, based in Ivory Coast (San Pedro and Man) in various countries as Eastern Liberia (Cavalla) and eastern Guinea Conakry (Kerouan). I was in charge of the purchasing of the equipment in the States and Canada, the shipping through Panama to Liberia and Ivory Coast and the land transportation to the forest locations which force us to build many provisional bridges and clean abandoned roads.
Permits, licenses, taxes, administration, warehousing, spare parts, computerized inventory, etc. In charge of more than 350 local staff and over 25 ex-pats.
In Liberia operation I have to buy even food for the first two months in which we were living in mobile homes in the middle of a deep jungle near Zwedru. Both operations, Liberia and Guinea were left full operative when company asked me to spend one year in China (Beijing and Shanghai) top develop market for timber for flooring. There, I constituted a Company, open offices in both cities and stabilize a network of buyers throughout the country. That year I traveled China from Gansu to Heilongjian to Guangxi, and everything in between and I got orders for a few millions of CBM, evidently something impossible to perform by the Company as a whole.
In logistic terms, the organization of the project included:
Planning, international procurement, international transportation, international supply, and maintenance in a very hostile environment with complete lack of facilities as electricity, water, telephone, housing, etc. The very full planning process (from zero), implementing, and controlling the efficient, cost effective flow and storage of raw materials and fuel, heavy equipment, fuel storage and distribution, in-out-process inventory of spare parts, semi finished goods and related information from point of origin to point of consumption for the purpose of meeting equipment requirements.
