WORK EXPERIENCE
* January 2005 to Present: Virginia Department of Transportation, Hampton Roads District, Construction Division: Assistant District Construction Engineer:
Responsible for all program and project management activities including project controls with in the Hampton Roads District including: scheduling, estimating, contracts' change analysis and approval, construction claims resolution, construction contracts administration, projects progress reporting, projects constructability & biddability reviews, risk analysis and risk mitigation.
Coordinate division staffing including assignments & training.
Liaison with other Divisions, Central Office and consultants to coordinate work plans, and policy implementation. Participate in the work order & claims settlement negotiation. Interpret department policies & provide guidelines for field staff. Ensure that State& Federal laws and regulations are followed including environmental laws. Provide feedback to design engineers.
