EMPLOYMENT RECORD
1). Worked from 2001 up to now:
1.A) At INTRAFOR, A French Group:
* Geotechnical Manager, worked on retained earth wall; diaphragm wall ; soft ground treatment and all other geotechnical works, in charge of design, calculation, cost estimation and construction method statements;
* Some typical retained earth wall projects: Retained Earth Wall of Pho Moi, 11 m height, on Red River bank (2001); Nga Tu Vong; Ong Lanh; Song Than; An Suong; Quang Trung; Phu Ly and Tham Luong Bridges (Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City Highway Improvement Project); Nga Tu So (2006).
* Designing Keystones Retained Wall of 12 m height for Hatay Dolphinarium project (2006).
1.B) As An Independent Consultant:
* October 2006: Metro Centre Hanoi 2 project: Providing of geotechnical analysis, settlement & bearing capacity calculation, soft ground stabilization solutions all areas except the store building. Sandfill thickness here was 3.6 m approximately. Project problems highlights: time frame is very limited (6 months); the Goods Receiving Areas will be heavily loaded during service life but it will be designed not on piles, here both subsoil bearing capacity and compressibility need to be improved significantly.
* March 2006: Brother Factory (Hai Duong) project: Providing of geotechnical analysis, settlement & bearing capacity calculation, soft ground stabilization solutions for the floor factory. Sandfill thickness here was 3 m approximately. Project had to fully be completed in 6 months as per request of the Hazama Corp.
* December 2005: NS Factory (Bac Ninh) project: Providing of soft ground stabilization solutions for the Mother Coil Area which is a very heavy platform. Sandfill thickness here was 3 m approximately. Project had to fully be completed in 8 months by plan of the Nippon Steel Corp.
* August 2005: Designing of Soil Stabilization Schemes for Metro Centre Danang.
* March 2005: Metro Centre Haiphong project: Providing of geotechnical analysis, subsoil settlement & bearing capacity calculation, soft ground stabilization solutions using soil cement columns & geogrids. Results: post construction settlement was reduced to less than 10 cm. Actual observed settlement showed less than 3 cm after 6 month since the end of construction. Sandfill thickness was 3 m approximately. Project had to fully be completed in 6 months from the commencement date to the opening day as per target of the client Cash & Carry Ltd.
* December 2004: Xang-Xa-No Canal Bulkhead project, Vi Thanh town, Hau Giang province: designing of the bulkhead for shore protection along 2 sides of the canal.
