Served in the Indian Air Force in Administration/Human Resources Squadrons in the rank of Sergeant (Senior Non-Commissioned Officer) from 23 October 1984 to 31 October 2004 and discharged from IAF on completion of 20 years of Initial Terms of Engagement.
Had the experience of working in hostile terrain in Eastern & Northern parts of India and worked with people from different cultures, religions & linguistics. During the 9 postings in 20 years service in IAF, served under Western, Maintenance, Eastern, South Western Air Commands, and Training Commands of IAF. As the units served by me in IAF were Flying Units, Ammunition Storage Depot, Forward Base, Flying Training Establishment, Command HQs, AF Police Provost & Security Unit, Radar Communication Project Depot, I could gain multi-faceted Admin/HR experience in various environments as that of Flying Training Institute, Provost & Security Unit, Production Units, Operation Units, such as Flying Units, Maintenance Units and also Higher Command HQs.
My nature of duties in IAF include Personnel Administration, like handling Appointment, Postings and other deployment of personnel, Office Management, Filing Procedures, Financial Management including Budget preparation, Forecasts, Preparation of periodical reports to higher authorities, Investigation reports submission, drafting and publication of in house circulars, orders and directives, preparation of pleadings for the defence counsel appearing for the IAF in the cases pertaining to Labour, Contract and other civil suits. In Human Resources aspect, I have the experience in conducting Recruitment Examination, Promotion Examination, Personnel Occurrence Reports preparation, Annual Appraisal Reports rendition and timely preparation/submission of various HR forms, like Financial Claims, Pension claims, Casualty claims, etc., Besides this, I have the experience of serving in the Middle level managerial position. Service courses undergone during my IAF tenure were, Military Training & Administration Training Course, Physical Training Course, Weapons handling course, Fire Fighting Course, Computer Training, Low-level Reporting System Course, Junior Management Course, various workshops/seminars pertaining to areas of postings. During this period, I have got exposure in Drafting of various Deeds, Agreements, handling of property related cases at Civil Courts of Poonamallee, Chengalpattu, City Civil Court, Matrimonial related cases at Family Courts, Consumer dispute cases at DCDRF, Chennai (North & South), Liaisoning with revenue department authorities, registration department authorities regarding property related documents, Registration works, Liaisoning with police authorities, etc.,

Presently functioning as 'Legal Advisor' at M/s. Insoft.Com.Pvt.Ltd., a 'Software Company' at Chennai (Tamil Nadu), which is engaged in the activities of 'providing services of On-Site/Off-site Development of Software for international clients'. My nature of duties are, legal drafting of various agreements, like employees' service agreement, confidentiality agreement, non-disclosure agreement, overseas assignment agreement, memorandum of understanding, scrutiny/drafting of legal documents pertaining to international customers, initiating action for recovery of outstanding dues from customers, preparation of legal notices and handling cases of the company. My current CTC is Rs. 3,18,000/- p.a.
