In this project we involved in diversion work of existing 220k.v line. The actual existing line is of

5.3k.m with 18 towers. We had done a diversion for 5.96k.m with 24 towers. Also involved in Excavation,

Template Fixing, Civil Foundation work, Erection, Stringing. Had taken several safety precautions while foundation, Erection, Stringing, Pre-Charging the line and Charging the line.

PROJECT-1: SCADA AND ITS APPLICATION IN LOAD
DESPATCH CENTRE

Role: Communication and Grid Management.

The main aim of the project is to draw trend curves between daily load and duration in time. The other major part is to study the main functional components of SCADA. Communication between Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) and Front End Processor (FEP) is effective is managed through SCADA. For the most part, the brains of a SCADA system are performed by the Remote Terminal Units (sometimes referred to as the RTU). The Remote Terminal Units consists of a programmable logic converter. One of key processes of SCADA is the ability to monitor an entire system in real time. This is facilitated by data acquisitions including meter reading, checking statuses of sensors, etc that are communicated at regular intervals depending on the system. Besides the data being used by the RTU, it is also displayed to a human that is able to interface with the system to override settings or make changes when necessary. Grid management and causes for failure of grid are been studied. We have applied software language C to draw the graphical output of trend curves.

ƒæ SCADA is universally applicable hence it is used in load despatch operation to get the load schedule.
ƒæ In grid management we get a clear idea about the load in a day and future predictions can be taken for surplus demand of power.
