* Advise project personnel regarding safe working practices and to develop safety consciousness

* To ensure that authorised programmes of accident prevention and emergency evacuation are in place.

* Co-coordinating client for all safety issues

* To maintain a safe and productive working environment by conducting appropriate safety, corrective action, job hazard, and environmental inspections on a regular basis

* To ensure that accident investigations are conducted, when appropriate, in accordance with Company policies & procedures, under the direction of the Safety Department.

* To continuously provide specialist advice & education on safety matters to all project personnel

* To promote a positive HSE attitude amongst project employees using an authorised scheme of incentives and deterrents

* Ensure that the work permits are prepared and obtained clearance from the Plant Safety Department and Control Room for executing the works.

* Ensure to provide Safety Induction Course for the new employees in co-ordination with Safety Department.

* Ensure conducting regular Tool Box Meeting for workers and supervisors.

* Ensure the use of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) by all employees at the required area and situations.

* Ensure all permit conditions are fully complied with.

* Prepare daily/weekly safety reports/return for submission to Client.

* Prepare accident/incident reports to find out the causes and adopting proper preventive measures.

* Make employees to think of various hazardous/unsafe conditions involved in various operations before they are starting the work and hence to avoid unnecessary loss of man hours & property.

* Report any lapses, near misses immediately and analyze different near miss occurrences and take action to avoid the repetition of same/similar occurrences in future.

* Inspect equipment, machineries and tools to ensure its safest and proper use to avoid and bypassing of safety devices.
