JGC-DESCON Engineering (Pvt) Limited is a joint venture between JGC Corporation, Japan (51%) and DESCON Engineering Limited (49%). JGC-DESCON has become a leading EPC services company having JGC trained staff. The company specializes in providing high quality basic and support for procurement and construction activities. I was hired as a design engineer for Static Equipment including Pressure Vessels and Heat Exchangers design and promoted to Senior Design Engineer within a span of one year.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for Mechanical design (pressure vessels & heat exchangers TEMA type) and engineering works for JGC-DESCON, including provision of mechanical datasheets, specifications and M/R's for mechanical equipment and packages, review of Vendors (Bidders) technical documents and preparing the technical clarifications (TC) and technical bid evaluation (TBE) and Interfacing with all other Disciplines to resolve particular technical issues pertaining to all above equipment and documents.

MOL ¨C Central Processing Facility (Manzalai Field Development Project)

MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Company BV, a subsidiary of Hungary¡¯s national oil and gas group MOL, is exploring new fields for natural gas in Pakistan. The project will produce 300 million standard cubic feet of natural gas as well as 2,900 barrels per day of condensate.

¡ö Lead Engineer for complete Mechanical design of storage tanks facility as per API 650. The scope of work includes, complete Mechanical design and preparation of detailed fabrications drawings for utility and tank farm area.

RPLC Deep Conversion Project ¨C JV of PDSVA and CONFEED (JGC + INELECTRA)

HDH Plus technology: First commercial project in the world. Deep Conversion Project at the Puerto La Cruz refinery, in its Front End Engineering Development stage (FEED). This technology focuses on converting residuals and heavy and extra-heavy crude oil into high quality refined fuel products for very demanding markets like the European one. This project represents the first step towards mass use of technology and fully being able to take advantage of the resources of the Orinoco oil Belt.

H2O2 Project ¨C Descon ¨C Oxychem (Pvt) Limited

DOL is setting up a manufacturing plant of Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) with a capacity of 28,000 MTY (50 percent concentration). The overall complex will mainly consist of (a) hydrogen plant and (b) hydrogen peroxide plant and utilities area. Chematur Engineering, Sweden is providing license, technical know-how and basic engineering of the H2O2 complex.
