Traffic Modeling Expert for the Project entitled, "Al Mogran Central Business District, Khartoum, Sudan" (65 hectares site with 8.5 km of road network including 12 signalized junctions) Responsible for travel demand modeling for the new CBD using VISUM and operational analysis of various geometric layouts using VISSIM. Comprehensive Traffic Control design including actuated and semi actuated signals were also undertaken. Presented the report to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Public Utilities at Khartoum, Sudan (March 2006 to October 2006).
b. Traffic Modeler for the Project entitled," Consultancy Services for Lost City Master Plan, Dubai, UAE" (550 hectare site with 75,000 total population) Major responsibility includes strategic transport modeling of the Lost City Masterplan using Dubai traffic model (R-1000 in VISUM), interpretation and analysis of the model output, isolated intersection analysis using Sidra and HCS, Sub area network analysis inVISSIM and preparation of Level III Traffic Impact Study Report (TIS) for the Road Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai. Various coordination meeting and presentation were also made. (Nakheel, Dubai, June 2006 to December 2006).
c. Project Manager for the project entitled, "Consultancy Services for Jumeirah Golf Estates Masterplan, Dubai, UAE, (10 million square meter site with total population of 116,400 and some 11,700 daily visitors) Demand modeling using R-1000 model (VISUM) of Dubai Municipality, operational analysis of sub-area network using VISSIM. Preparation of Traffic Impact Study (TIS) Report for direct access arrangements and other desktop studies for the RTA (Road and Transport Authority). (November 2006 to June 2007).
d. Lead Transport Engineer for the project entitled, "Detailed Design of Gwheifat Border Post, UAE. Reviewed the proposed border post design by CRANG & BROAKE, conducted Value Engineering for the envisaged transportation facilities of the Gwheifat border post. Client interaction and presentation was a major role for this project. Later on redesigned the transportation components of the Border post for the Ministry of Municipality and Agriculture, UAE (ADM, Abu Dhabi, December 2006 to March 2008).
e. Lead Engineer for the project entitled, "Consultancy Services for Detailed Design of Doha Business Square, Doha, Qatar. Responsible for Preparation of Traffic Impact Study (TIS) Report. (UPDA, Qatar, January 2007 to October 2007).
f. Project Manager for the project entitled, "Consultancy services for preparing Masterplan for the South of Shamkha New Town Project, Abu Dhabi" (Estimated population of about 120,000 with an extensive road network of grade separated and at grade intersections), Responsible for area wide simulation modeling using VISSIM. The model had features like dynamic assignment and vehicle actuated signals design using VAP module of the software. (UPC, Abu Dhabi, May 2007 to October 2007)
g. Project Manager for the project entitled, "R854 Improvements to Satwa Roundabout, Dubai" (Design and construction supervision of intersections/interchanges and road facilities at Satwa Area at Dubai) Responsible for concept development and design of transportation facilities. Coordination with client and other Project Management activities were among the major responsibilities. Various improvement schemes were tested using microsimulation model developed in VISSIM. Preliminary Design Report was submitted to the RTA (Road and Transport Authority), Dubai. (RTA, Dubai, October 2007 to February 2008)
h. Traffic Modeler for the project entitled, "Capital District Master Plan, Abu Dhabi" (4500 hectare project Area with the designed resident population of about 415,000 and 150,000 daily commuters) Main task was to provide a strategic basis for traffic and transportation planning of the Capital City Development. Developed a comprehensive model for the Capital District Region in VISUM, Presented the model to the client and a panel of consultants, Conducted microsimulation of various plots within the Capital District using Synchro. Developed workable traffic control arrangement over hundreds of intersections in the Capital District, Identified access issues, conflict areas and access constraints and evaluated options for improvement using VISSIM, preparation of Traffic Report (Urban Planning Council, UPC, February 2008 to September 2008)
i. Traffic Modeler for the project entitled, "Barwa Al Doha Mixed Use Development, Doha, Qatar" (61,303 sqm project area comprising residential, office, retail, restaurants, cinema, mosque and a luxurious hotel) Traffic modeling of the development using Qatar transportation model in VISUM. Assessment of impact on the study area junctions. (Urban Planning Development Authority, UPDA, September 2008 to till October 2008)
j. Project Manager for the project entitled, "Downtown Infill and Streetscape Design Standards, Abu Dhabi" Responsible for transportation studies developing design guidelines for standard downtown block situated in CBD. The major tasks undertaken were intersection analysis using VISSIM, SIDRA and SYNCHRO, Capacity analysis of midblock, VAP design of study area junctions, analyzing access to parking and internal circulation plan and writing the report for UPC (Urban Planning Council, UPC, October 2008 to March 2009)
k. Project Manager for the project entitled, "Traffic Impact Study for the Traders Hotel, Abu Dhabi" Conducted Traffic Impact Study as per the guidelines issued by Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) for a Luxury Hotel situated in Outer CBD. The major tasks undertaken were intersection analysis using VISSIM, SIDRA and SYNCHRO, Capacity analysis of midblock, analyzing access to parking, queuing analysis and internal circulation plan, developing mitigation measures for the study area junctions and writing the TIS report for the ADM (Al Jaber L.E.G.T. Engineering & Contracting (ALEC), April 2009 to May 2009)
l. Traffic Modeler for the project entitled, "Concept Design of Roads/Infrastructure – Phase 2, Qatar" Responsible for traffic studies and updating the Transport Master Plan for Qatar (TMPQ) as part of conceptual design of roads and associated infrastructure facilities for packages 10,15 and 16. Major tasks include demand modeling for the designated sub area network consisting Private and Public Transport. Design guidelines were recommended for road development allowing UPDA to implement the proposed schemes in timed manner. (Urban Planning Development General Authority, UPDA, June 2009 to till date)

TIS includes parking design, site assess and circulation and mitigation measures. The study area road network was modeled in CORSIM for with and without development scenario. (d) Traffic Engineer, "Preparation of detailed project report for 4/6 laning and Strengthening of existing two lane carriage way from Km.17.06 (near Calcutta) to km.210.00 (Bihar-Orrisa Border) section of NH-6, "(Package VIII, World Bank Funded)", was responsible for carrying out traffic and transportation studies, Roughness survey, Benkelman Beam deflection test for about 200km. long stretch and analysis of data and also to assist the team leader and Traffic Expert to decide the type of Interchange and pavement design for different homogeneous section.
