Job Profile
Working at KNPC Mina-Ahmadi site (Through ALMEER) and was directly responsible for the refinery revamp projects which include Design, Engineering, Construction, Installation and commissioning activities of various types of process instrumentation & control system.

Project consists of a modernization of old refinery units: PLCR, PBCR, WCR, NPCR, BTCR, DOHA-FOSP and integrate the all units to a centralized computer control room with display wall system in New OMCCR. Also the modernization includes new refinery area like UCR & RMP and integrates the existing utility facility to work station #5 in RMP control room.

The control system includes DCS, ESD, MASTER STATION, TANK GUAGING SYSTEM, NIR ANALYZERS and CROWCON HC & H2S gas detection system.

Nature of Job

Survey of all the instruments, Installation and Commissioning of field instruments like Pressure and Temperature Transmitters, Displacer type level switches, Level Transmitters, Temperature Switches, MOVs, DP Transmitters, Control Valves, Shutoff Valves, Detector Switches, Solenoid Valves, Pressure Diff. Switches, Involved in Loop checking, I/O List preparation, Cable Schedule, Hookups Preparation, Demolition of panels and re connection of all the cables.
Installation of Honeywell TDC-3000.
Flow metering System, QMR ESD System
Basic Engineering: P&ID Markups, hook-ups Preparing, Loop diagrams, I/O list and Instrument index, Cause & Effects, Data Sheets, Functional Schematics Preparing.

Engineering Activities

- Involved in preparing Engineering drawings for the following mentioned
Activities.
- Panels / JBs installation drawings
- Cable Conduiting, Glanding & Termination drawings

Functional Narrative:

Studied the existing control system along with field instrumentation, Involved in updation of P &ID's, drawings and documents based on the survey and prepared the documents for the detailed engineering. Prepared the Instrument index, IO list, functional schematics, cable block diagrams, cable schedules, etc., Developed the specification, addendums for the control systems and data sheets.
