Overview:
Take charge Senior Scheduler with over 20 years of proven project/program management skill in the construction of hospitals, schools, college/university, hotels, commercial, retail and industrial developments. Responsibilities include planning and guiding programs from pre-construction through closeout, leading and managing in-house project staff, managing client relations and contracts, and participating in new business development.

Westfield - Sr. Scheduler/ Sr. Project Manager (2007 - 2009)
Developed, established, and maintained all aspects of the planning & scheduling effort on multiple demanding and complex retail projects in excess of $100M utilizing Primavera P6.1. Acted as the landlord's representative coordinating internal departments such as: Leasing, Development, Construction, Design and Production and external entities such as local government authorities. Managed and coordinated project team to ensure that the project scope is built according to plans, specifications, schedules and cost limits. Reported on construction schedule status against an established baseline and assessed the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages. Generated all planning & scheduling deliverables including preparation of resource and cost loaded schedules, performance variance analysis studies, including earned value. Analyzed critical path and restraints to determine the effect of changes on the schedule and recommended work-arounds. Responsible for overall implementation and success of Proliance (Project Management System), including support, maintenance, training and new application roll out. Interfaced with IT and construction Accounting to assure transparency. Utilized Proliance to evaluate project budget and cost forecast. Performed contract administration; including bid analysis, contract preparation, subcontractor/contract negotiations, submittal processing, and other related award coordinating activities. Reviewed contractor's initial construction schedule, schedule of values, submittals, and generally responded to contractor's inquiries regarding the different aspects of contract administration. Duties also included change order analysis to assess time delays, subcontract schedule control, and review of cost estimates and change order estimates from contractors to ascertain reasonableness. Additional responsibilities included developing and maintaining the program master schedule, including establishing work practices for coding, updating, analysis, reporting and designing custom schedule layouts. Provided guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems while keeping project and company management fully informed. Supervised and coordinated project schedulers and dealt directly with owners and architects.

SIM Project, Senior Scheduler (2006 -2007)
Possess extensive training and hands-on experience with Microsoft Project and P3/e implementation and administration in a multi-project environment. Experienced in the installation and configuration of schedule software applications and advanced knowledge of the multi-step process of importing Microsoft Project data to P3/e. Lead the SIM team in the creation, maintenance, status, analysis and reporting of the process of implementing an integrated schedule in P3/e while acting as the SIM project P3/e administrator. Conducting both weekly in-house training classes, and working closely with the PM's to provide support for day-to-day operation. Developed a detailed procedure by which to export P3/e data to Microsoft Project and print PERT charts utilizing PERT Chart Expert. (P3/e PERT charts are currently being enhanced by Primavera and lack the sophistication of PERT Chart Expert). Designed and developed the 'JPL P3/e User's Handbook' which was released in January '07. Included are detailed implementation procedures to import data to P3/e, screen shots, helpful tips and precautions, and examples of graphics (i.e., flowcharts, diagrams, report formats, etc.). The SIM 4 Phase implementation process was completed in Mach '07 and included the integration of the project schedule (milestones and activities) with the approved budget, implementation of EVM and FFE's. Advanced knowledge and skills in development of schedules and use of techniques such as resource loading, critical path analysis, slack analysis and experience with earned value and knowledge of schedule risk assessment techniques. Significant knowledge and experience working with a cost-schedule baseline change control process. Possess strong coordination and organizational skills and have the ability to successfully collaborate with user groups and work in a team environment. Possess a 'Secret' clearance from DOE that was last renewed in 1986.
Orgel Construction Management, Sr. Scheduler/Project Manager (2005-2006)
Responsible for the initial development and implementation of the program schedule for the newly formed Central Design Management division at LAUSD. The schedule tracks approximately 78,00 activities that have a direct effect upon the design process and preparation of the bid package i.e.; hazardous material Phase I and II documents, DSA approval process, geotechnical reports and topography surveys. Developed and implemented an intelligent WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) for both cost and schedule analysis, developed a web based front-end module that would support the integration of data from P3e/c and an Access database; this module provides management with the ability to review information on a real time basis and query data utilizing the relational databases which were developed in Access.
Pacifica Services, Inc, Deputy Program Manager (2001-2004)
Responsible for management of $90 million program at Alhambra School District to renovate existing schools and build 100's of new classrooms, with approximately 32 projects concurrently under design. Led project team with minimum supervision from project director. Primary duties included: selecting, hiring and managing architect-engineer and general contractor/trade contractor teams, participation in the design process, project scheduling, project management, project estimating and budgeting, construction coordination with on-going district maintenance and facility functions, occupancy and relocation management, client coordination, and account management. Duties also included contract negotiations for the assigned projects, bidding, plan/specification review, and trade scope analysis, subcontract management, estimating, scheduling and cost control. Utilized working knowledge of HVAC and overhead systems, i.e. fire alarm, sprinkler, data and telephone systems in extensive over haul of district wide upgraded. Responsible for project team delivering all construction phase services and ensuring construction scope, quality, schedule and cost performance were met.
Turner Construction Company, Sr. Project Manager (1997-2001)
Specific project involvement included LAUSD Program and retrofit work at St. John's Hospital. Lead the planning and execution of the work with outside consultants and initiated and directed the planning and development of the project plans, scope definition, project procedures, budgets, and project schedules upon review of technical input. Participated in review and approval of bid calculation for purchase orders, contracts and sub contracts. Reviewed all project cost estimates, forecasts, schedules, financial reports and commitments also reviewed all procurement schedules to make sure they are compatible with the project plans, schedules and budget. Monitored and controlled all contractual commitments to ensure that all work was being performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings and terms of the contract. Ensured all change orders were negotiated in a timely manner and claims were managed. Conducted and documented periodic project and customer meetings to review progress and discuss issues. Led the project's teams in solving problems involving coordination, schedule and the setting of priorities.
Dugan & Associates, Project Manager (1993-1997)
Assigned to the $1.2 billion Los Angeles County U.S.C. Medical Center Replacement Project responsible for coordination of all aspects of project design and construction planning, including the scheduling of OSHPD reviews and permitting. Responsibilities included the development and monitoring of cost/resource loaded schedules utilizing Primavera, preparation of graphic presentations, coordination of contractor/subcontractor activities, schedule impact analysis, preparation of labor histograms to analyze productivity and development of work-around solutions to mitigate construction delays and project impacts. Tracking and analysis of company/project cash flow, monitoring and documenting contract compliance, and avoidance/ analysis of potential construction claims. Also provided support in schedule analysis, as-built schedule preparation and claims analysis to GC's as requested.
