Apr. 09 – Present Project Engineer / Manager: Aiken Group, Aberdeen, UK
Currently based back in Aberdeen overseeing the £20M Accommodation upgrade of the Total operated Elgin PUQ.
Duties and responsibilities include:
 Prepare and provide weekly and monthly Project reports to the Client and Management
 Ensure compliance to project Quality and HSE requirements
 Chairing meetings with the Customer Representative, Site Supervisors and Subcontractor's
 Negotiating variation orders and subsequent change orders
 Accountable for delivery of the projects to cost, quality and schedule
 Establishing a good relationship and liaising with the Client in the administration and coordination of the Project
 Interface and manage all departments, including Contractors and Subcontractors
 Supervise and direct the Project Team and also provide support and resources to the Project Team
 Managing the development of Destruct & Construct Work Packs, Execution Plans, Schedules, Purchasing Plans, Test & Inspection Plans, Vendor Document Register and Sub Contractor Interface Schedules.
 Review and make sure that Design is in accordance with all Project Specifications with all Discipline Engineers
 Review all third party rules and regulations with the QA/QC Team and make sure they are adhered to
 Provide a focal point for all communication
 Ensuring that all contractual documentation, completion certificates and warranties are in place for the contract.
 Approval of invoices for the completed work and follow up with Customer regarding timely invoice payments
 Ensuring the End Documentation is complete, handed over to Client and obtaining the completion certificate
Nov. 05 – Apr. 09 Offshore Project Manager: AMB / Hertel JV, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Contracted with the daunting challenge of bringing resources, coordinatintion and management to a newly established JV partnership and help them to break into the offshore modular market.
The team initially commenced with two members, eventually rising to over thirty office staff of various nationalities and a site workforce of over two hundred working on various projects within the UAE.
Projects and clients included CAM buildings for JR McDermott / Shell, Lab modules for SBM / Chevron and Compressor modules for Siemens and various living quarter upgrades and conversions.
Duties and responsibilities include:
 Manpower resourcing which included conducting interviews and setting up training programs and training schools for site labour in countries such as India, Thailand and the Philippines.
 Management of various small, medium and large EPC offshore living quarter projects and bespoke modular packages.
 Accountable for delivery of all projects to cost, quality and schedule.
 Manage and oversee all activities of the project work flow.
 Coordinate and manage all departments including Engineering and Procurement.
 Supervise and direct the onsite project team and provide support and resources.
 Build trust and good relationships with clients and subcontractors.
 Provide a focal point for all communication.
 Managing the development of Project Execution Plans, Schedules, Purchasing Plans, Test & Inspection Plans, Vendor Document Register and Sub Contractor Interface Schedules.
 Evaluate sub contractor bids before contract awards.

Apr. 04~ Nov. 05 Offshore Operations Manager: North Offshore Group, Saltire House, Blackness Avenue, Altens, Aberdeen, Scotland
Joined the company to provide support for their offshore operations; which included accommodation refurbishments, fabric maintenance and facility upgrades.
Duties and responsibilities include:
 Offshore and onshore accommodation surveys of semi subs, jack-ups, FPSO's, tankers, platforms and cruise liners.
 Design new layouts.
 Sourcing materials and raise purchase orders.
 Job planning and development of construct and destruct schedule.
 Workforce resourcing and mobilisation.
 Development of method statements, risk assessments and procedures.
 Represent the company at client meetings
 Liaise and support the site construction supervisors.
 Clients included: Shell, BP, Talisman, Philips, Dolphin Drilling, Stena Drilling and Total.
Jun. 03~Apr 04 Construction Support Manager: Consafe /McNulty Offshore JV, South Shields, Tyne & Wear, England.
Responsibilities include:
 Management of the 96 module East Area Go living quarters project, for Exxon/Mobil during hook-up stage.
 Quality Assurance & Quality Control of outfitting at factory manufacture stage.
 Coordination of sub contractors during hook up stage.
 Outfitting consultant to the client and sub contractors.
 Liaise with client at daily progress meetings.
 Submission of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, including weekly look ahead's and S curves.
 Manage resources and material required on site (ROS) scheduling based on weekly look ahead.
Jan 02~Jun 03 Project Supervisor: Consafe Engineering, Greenbank Crescent, East Tullos, Aberdeen, Scotland
Coordination and supervision of Electrical, HVAC, Piping and Architectural destruct and construct work scopes on the BP Magnus production platform in the North Sea.
The project involved the complete strip out of the LQ bottom level and outfitted back into a H120 safe refuge, cinema and hospital plus the transformation of the old hospital into five cabins.
Responsibilities & duties include:
 Attending daily client meetings.
 Permit raising and
 Additional material procurement.
 Testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
 Ensuring the End Documentation is complete, handed over to Client and obtaining the completion certificate

Sep 99~Jan 02 Outfitting Supervisor: Consafe Engineering, Greenbank Crescent, East Tullos, Aberdeen, Scotland.
Involved in the fabrication, outfitting, hook – up and commissioning of A60 and
A120 modular systems for major oil and gas projects, pharmaceutical buildings and
Nuclear power plants worldwide. Modules were built to DNV or Lloyds rules and regulations plus client specifications.
Main projects were the Mearsk Innovator jack – up in Hyundai Shipyard Ulsan, Korea. (LER & Dog House)
Wyeth Lab Facility - Grange Castle Pilot Lab Building in Dublin, Ireland. (36 modules) Accommodation Quarters and Safe Refuges for Total, (12 modules) BP, (24 modules) Diamond Drilling, (5 modules) Ensco, (4 modules) Marathon, (10 modules) Shell (12 modules) and Agip, (4 modules) all factory fabricated, partially outfitted then hooked up and commissioned offshore.
Feb.96~Jun.98 Outfitting Supervisor: Vertec Engineering Ltd, Kirkton Avenue, Dyce, Aberdeen, Scotland.
Supervised the construction of several types of A60, A0 and H120 modules for the Oil and Gas industry. Team included fabricators, welders, carpenters, sheet metal workers,
HVAC engineers, electricians and flooring specialists.
