Description of Current and past Work Experiences:
1. GM - O&M, PSEG India Pvt. Ltd., Madras, India 2000 to present date Responsible for the O&M associated with two combined cycle power plants of 350 Mw and 220 Mw capacities utilizing MHI-701F and LM-6000 GT technology and 220 kV distribution. This period included, O&M mobilization, pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance tests and commercial operation. The two Plant Managers are my direct reports and I report to the Vice President Business Units.
2. Director Operations, Equitable Resources Inc., Hartford, CT 1997 to 1999
Responsible for the O&M associated with three co-generation and simple cycle large diesel engine power plants (26 Mw up to 106 Mw size) located in Latin America and the Caribbean. This period included O&M mobilization right through commercial operation. Other duties included new business development in the areas of Latin America where liberalization, privatization and globalization of the public utility sectors were occurring. Plant Managers were my direct reports and I reported to the Sr. VP International Division.
3. Production Manager, Field Operations, YPF-Maxus, Quito, Ecuador. 1992 to 1996
Responsible for the overall production of the BLK-16 heavy-oil field with 62 wells producing 70,000 bopd, a WIP disposing 2M bwpd and the O&M for the facilities supporting the oil production which included GT's (3), 34.5 kV distribution system, process facilities (2), pumping stations, pipelines, security, roads, bridges, boats, camps, etc. Field Coordinators were my direct reports and I reported to the Director of Operations.
4. Superintendent Offshore Utilities, Maxus SES, Jakarta, Indonesia 1982 to 1992
Responsible for the O&M of all the utilities supporting the offshore facilities on 52 production platforms, 5 process platforms and a support island facility located in the Java Sea 60 miles from Jakarta which included a 200K BWPD water injection process plant and a 93 Mw / 34.5 kV power system comprised of gas turbines and diesel generators and 300 miles of 34.5 sub-sea distribution. Direct Reports were the O&M Technical Supervisors and I reported to the Manager Production - Field Operations.
5. Plant Manager, Black & Veatch International, Jakarta, Indonesia. 1978 to 1982
Responsible for the O&M of a five unit 700 Mw Power Plant which included training national engineers, mobilization, commissioning through to commercial operation. Reported to the Maura Karang - PLN - Project Manager.
6. Sr. Supervisor Production, TransAlta Utilities, Calgary, Canada left in 1978
Responsible for the O&M of a six unit 2200 Mw Thermal Power Plant which included the mobilization, training, commissioning and commercial operation. A staff of O&M Technicians were my direct reports and I reported to the Plant Manager.
Education and Qualifications:
- Power Plant Engineering, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Calgary, Canada.
- Alberta Government Engineer's Certificate.
