Responsibilities:
To take charge of the computer with its automatic Night Audit system and to ensure that balanced daily results are produces by the Night Auditor.
To verify the accuracy of data by auditing preliminary reports and by making corrections before totals are finalized.
To be familiar with the handling of cashiering functions in order to make any necessary corrections.
To segregate the day's credit card charge vouchers by company and balance them to the computer totals. To watch for and alert Income Auditors of any expired cards, the use of wrong company vouchers, incomplete imprints and so forth so that the requisite action may be taken.
To balance all manually posted charges, miscellaneous vouchers, etc. (i.e. paid?outs, refund etc.).
To ensure the daily accuracy of outlet report, folios, all types of vouchers and restaurant checks, before sending them to the Accounting Department.
To distribute sales and statistical reports to selected department heads.
To compile all audit records for follow up by the Income Auditor.
To provide courteous and professional service at all times and maintain good working relationships with all colleagues.
To be fully aware of the hotel's policies and procedures and to adhere to them.
To have a complete understanding of the property's employee handbook and adhere to the regulations contained therein.
To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
To respond to changes in departmental functions as dictated by the company.
To check physically all the safe deposit keys and safe deposit cards if locker is occupied by the guest
