CURRENT JOB Purchasing / Supply Chain / Materials Mgt. Ashis leads 200 workforces at various levels and 5 executives reports to him. Current job involves supply chain functions & procurement planning activities for the Distribution Division, handling more than 8 crores of material purchasing per month. Special expertise in areas of HT and LT cables purchase, Capital Equipment and Machineries, development and sourcing of new Items/existing items.Additionally in charge of handling computerized ERP system using Oracle Apps for supply-demand planning & accounting of 22000 stock items having a global inventory of 110 crores. Independently handling MIS requirements thru' a centralized EDP section, to cater the requirements of entire Materials Division as well as other internal customers.

RECENT PROJECTS
1. ERP Implementation Project Role: Core Team MemberActively associated in implementation of ERP in the Materials Division using Oracle Applications (Inventory & Purchasing Modules). Successfully implemented and practicing both the modules in five SBUs for last 15 months. Playing key role in training and functional support. Trained 10 batches (100 users) in Oracle Apps Inventory & Purchasing Modules and planning 50 more users in this year.Business Process Study and Analysis, Redesigning of Existing Item Code, Gap Analysis, Identify Improvement Areas, freezing different business scenario at CRP, Organisation-wise hierarchy set up, meeting requirement of internal clients by designing and customizing many forms/ reports etc were the Key Result Areas, where Ashis has contributed positively with reputation.

2. Inventory Analysis Role: Team Leader Chief Project Coordinator for analysis & implementation of inventory control norms. This involves management of 10000 bin items and present global inventory of 56 crores of 500 MW power plant. The objective of this analysis was to fix up controlling techniques to maintain the global inventory within 40 crores under a well framed policy.
