ľ Ensures and facilitates that breakdowns, repairs and services are attended to promptly.
ľ Monitoring and evaluation of the 2 Runde Catchment workshops, that is, checking job cards, time sheets, vehicle logbooks, approving overtimes, spares on order and chasing of spares on order.
ľ Controls and inspects work done by subordinates to maintain standards and follow up on repairs done by workshop staff.
ľ Assigns jobs to workshop staff by creation of job cards and orders spares and materials for all repairs and maintenance.
ľ Prepares a weekly and monthly works programme to the Catchment Manager in consultation with other workshop staff and co-ordinates the weekly maintenance plan for all workshop operations.
ľ Compiles monthly reports for all workshop activities.
ľ Ensures that company policies and procedures are understood and that they are being effectively implemented.
ľ Attends monthly Catchment progress meetings.
ľ Moderates together with others in procurement of materials for the catchment through procurement committee.
ľ Monitors and evaluates the welfare of all workshop staff and maintain discipline at work.
ľ Monitors and evaluates monthly vehicle mileage, service and repair reports for Runde catchment and eensures that all vehicles and equipment are serviced and repaired on time.
ľ Co-ordinates the distribution of vehicles in the catchment.
ľ Monitors movement of all workshop staff and workshop vehicles.
ľ Excellent supervision, control and co-ordination of Electricians, Fitters, Builder, Boilermaker, and their assistants creating a good and conducive working environment for good workmanship.
ľ Good planning and organisation for maintenance and repair of electrical plant and equipment at water supply stations and irrigation schemes.
ľ Constantly improving work morale and output through motivation and Performance Management.
ľ Tactful leading of workshop through team building and staff development including problem solving and ensure the adherence to safety regulations and promote safe work behaviour and conditions.
ľ Monitoring and evaluation of the distribution and supply of water in rural communities and attends to consumer grievances.
ľ Maintain and update database for workshop personnel and operations including promotions, leave days and workload and grades and qualifications.
