* Provided Corporate Engineering design resources for primary distribution sites supporting 10-fold sales growth in 5 years to $8,000,000,000 by adding 2,500,000 sq. ft. of prototype warehouse space complete with WMS/WCS material handling equipment systems, by managing $72,000,000 annual spending, and by developing VMR partnerships (Value Managed Relationship) on a cost-plus basis with equipment vendors for fast track building programs. The process removed 6 months from a typical 18-month turnkey building process, thus getting product to market faster/ cheaper. During that period, inventory turnover increased from 4 times to 22 times saving millions of dollars in carrying cost and growing the business sales revenue exponentially.

* Over time, installed six (6) LMS - standard methods and incentive pay systems saving over $100M in increased productivity to baseline, increased inventory turnover, improved accuracy, reduced 'error-based' returns, reduced associate turnover, and improved consistency of product delivery to customers – all excellent business results.

* Managed a 100-day project (concept to completion) to relocate the entire Eddie Bauer retail warehouse, replenishment, and return operations plus all operating systems and RF technology into a site located 22 miles away, without loss of service and during peak season.

* Transitioned 3 merchant companies plus an international 3PL through a $4,000,000,000 Chapter 11 Restructure consolidating 6,000,000 sq. ft. of highly automated retail, direct Catalog, and e-commerce fulfillment operations, plus headquarters and call center services.

* Saved an estimated net $4M through use of upgraded materials selection (CAT-6 wiring installed vs. CAT-5 wiring specified) in a corporate headquarters IT Group relocation to prevent full-site re-cabling as older technology becomes obsolete in the near future.

* Gained the 'Exceptional Contributor Award' for under-budget construction and equipment installation of a $14,000,000 high bay, back stock carton storage facility ($1M under budget and one month ahead of schedule).

* Supported e-commerce growth as in-house 'zone skipping' operation systems consultant and positioned a start-up company for leadership role during USPS postal reclassification. The company was so successful; it was acquired in less than two years.

* Designed and installed first automated tilt-tray sortation system with interface to a 'virtual' WMS Warehouse Management System and PC based Host on an AS/400 network, using only the bar code as SKU identifier for processing and listing to USPS manifest. This process allowed 2-hour trailer-load parcel processing without waiting for next-day inbound manifest delivery before processing. Customer delivery service levels were reduced by at least one full day.

* Initiated systems activation of a US Foreign Trade Zone to save $3,900,000 (NPV).

* Provided new facility processing operations capability in 4 hours (vs. typical 120 days) to generate an income revenue stream. Used temporary, portable material handling equipment and open frame-relay IT system to facilitate internal parcel handling and to generate trailer manifests for delivery to the United States Postal System. This process was utilized while the permanent equipment and systems were installed adjacent. Increased parcel processing system capacity nationwide by 300% thru 21 sites in as many months.

* Employed newer Riverbed technology in corporate headquarters relocation to avoid excessive and costly temporary work-around solutions saving time, minimizing risk, eliminating downtime, generating dashboard reports, maintaining international business services, and eliminating temporary 'throw-away' installations money.

* Installed an 88-seat Customer Service Call Center and Disaster Recovery site to supplement foreign operations, to offer local training/ testing options, and to provide a disaster recovery capacity for emergencies.

* Designed and sourced new automated cold-seal packaging machines for Branded outbound customer-order parcels. Two benefits included a 12:1 associate to machine replacement ratio and improved shipping accuracy to reduce returns.

* WMS equipped and automated a new Small Items Facility (CDs, cassettes, and videos) to support 50,000,000 units volume allowing company expansion into that sales market.

* Coordinated installation of several CMMS - Computerized Maintenance Management Systems to enhance Maintenance operations and improve operational hours of equipment for increased product output.
