Multi-disciplined Senior Designer/Drafter/Technician
Driven by innovation and integrity as a member or your technical group I will be able to provide technical drafting support using the latest version of Microstation, Intergraph, Auto Cad and other GIS, ICGS software platforms. In addition, perform non-routine and complex drafting assignments, Coordinate, plan, prioritize and execution of Design Drafting activities in accordance with your Companies procedures and guidelines. I have the ability to perform tasks independently, with minimum supervision as well as within a team environment.
SCOPE OF WORK EXPERIENCE
Telecommunications outside Plant Design
I have extensive knowledge and understanding of telecommunication outside plant utilities including aerial, buried, under ground and fiber optic cabling. With over 15 years of working experience designing and supporting structured cable types, materials and count/pair makeup's for Verizon, Bell South, Sprint, AT&T and other service providers. I'm able to read blue prints and engineers sketches to create working drawings in all design phases – As built, Pre-post and final post. Whether, your placing copper, aluminum or Fiber Optic cables, making splicing or connections, placing terminals, cross connects', repeaters, hubs or splitters.
Electrical Distribution and Network Design
I have extensive knowledge and understanding of Electrical distribution and network systems. I'm able to read blue prints, identify electrical materials, types, color codes and symbols. Create working drawing from engineers sketches in all design phases – As built, Pre-post and final post. I know the difference between primary, secondary, and Loop cables. I have a great understanding of cable designation, open and closed switching, splicing, positioning, placement of switch gear, PMH 9 and PMH-10's, A.T.S, Transformers and Fuses from the Sub-station to the end user. In addition, design Vaults, Manholes, Manhole detailed drawings, Mill-miter, moles, T-bodies I have worked with it all.
Civil Roadway Design
Capable of reading and creating working drawings using FDOT standards and design procedures in conjuction with Microstation, Geopak, Pedds, Auto Cad and STAAD PRO 2004 and other software platforms. I can produce Plan and Profile drawings, Horizontal and Vertical Alignments, Cross Sectional drawings (able to calculate slope), produce typical drawings, Utility Adjustment, City, County and State Permits (Levels A/B/C/D). I can also, generate exhibits for proposals. I have a keen ability to pay close attention to details and interact with engineers and other staff members.
Operating Systems: Software
Current and up-to-date with the latest software programs including: Microsoft XP, XP PRO, Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 - Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook. In addition, I'm able to communicate within a local and wide area network environment using: UNIX, Alpha and NT servers. File transfer programs: Telnet, F.T.P, and V.N.C. Administrative tools and utilities for data entry, inquiry and retrieval include: F.M.U, TFIDS, SQL, Oracle, DMR, DBA, DBS, DB2, Banyons-Vines/Lotus notes and FRAMME.

Responsibilities include: Design and Drafting Primary and secondary Network Distribution cables, re-designing Manhole schematics from hand drawn engineer's notes. Create one line network maps with pin-point accuracy and capture substation distribution locations, facility, placements and switching positions.
WORK EXPERIENCE

Position: Senior Computer Aided Draftsman.
Responsibilities include: working with a team of engineers drafting a proposed roadway lane restructure and resurfacing. Creating FDOT roadway plans including; Plan/Profile sheets, Horizontal/Vertical HMR Alignments files, Cross Sectioning, Structure - bridge, Sound walls, Drainage and MOT Drawings.
July 2003 – February 2005 Company: Progressive Communication Services.
Position: Senior Computer Aided Draftsman.
Responsibilities include: working with a team of engineers providing drafting services placing geographical data for Verizon Telecom. Creating working drawings UPD files, work-orders, work-prints, underground conduit and detailed drawings, FTTP - Fiber Optic drawings, Go Digital, Road moves using IDDS software. Along with FDOT Permitting: Levels A, B, C, Plan/Profile sheets and Maintenance of Traffic drawings. Position also, included going out into field and taking field notes, such as measuring distances from existing utilities, right of ways, and center line.
August 2002 – May 2003 Company: HDR Engineering. Tampa, FL.
Position: Senior Computer Aided Draftsman.
Responsibilities included: working with four different Engineering departments Roadway, Bridge, Railroad, and Drainage. Creating drawings such as; FDOT: Plan/Profile sheets, Horizontal/Vertical Alignments, Cross Sectioning, and Typical Rail and Bridge Sections, Preliminary Earthwork and Drainage Drawings, Rail Alignment, Spiral and Maintenance facility drawings. I was part of team of Programmers, Engineers, and Systems Analysis testing programs. I was responsible for testing every command in the IDDS and Microstation software environment. I was granted Super User access to work in a Complex network environment that extends throughout the U.S. I was in contact with all levels including Engineers, Programmers, and Operators on a daily basis, providing them with solutions, trouble shooting techniques, technical and system support. In addition, keeping them up-to-date on provisions, compliance's, and procedures to make up the clients defined data structure.

Position: Senior Computer Aided Draftsman.
During the years 1992 – 1995 I spent with Volt Information Sciences working as an on-premise contractor at various companies in different states including: Florida, California, Missouri, Hawaii, North Carolina and Illinois. All of which I worked as a Senior Computer Aided Draftsman and also, as a Cad Manager. I was responsible for training, supervising and providing the training needed to lead a team of 16 Cad operators educating them on the characteristics, capabilities and limitations of Microstation, ICGS, IDDS, and other GIS Software applications. Also, providing them with telephony to read and interpret outside plant records, legal descriptions, maps, right-of-ways, work orders and work prints used in the design process.
