I have worked in a variety of Business Management positions for a period of over 20 years and this has resulted in acquiring skills & experience in the following areas:

From an initial start in Administration & bookkeeping, I became Administration & Accounts Manager for a medium sized transport operation with 3 offices and 250 (mainly sub-contract) staff. I subsequently set-up and developed my own company before going back to organise and expand another newly opened operation within the same business sector
Since returning to full-time education and gaining both a BSc and an MSc, I have worked in a number of hotel / resort operations. All have been very hands-on management roles covering Administration, Resort Development, Project Management, Marketing and Operations.
My positive experiences at both Enterprise Oil and Wood Group, have brought a change of focus and I am keen to utilise these skills in a return to Singapore / Malaysia, where I feel certain my future lies.

September 2008 to April 2009 – Planning Engineer – The Wood Group – Aberdeen, Scotland
Responsible for Planning & Reporting on 2 Projects within Wood Group's Total contract, from late 'Design' phase through to current 'Offshore Construction' and 'Commissioning' phase. Developed, monitored and maintained Project Plans [using Primavera (P5)]. Involved in regular (weekly) meetings with Project Engineers, client and Vendor representatives. Liaised with project engineers and discipline engineers advising on alternative project/resource scheduling proposals. Measured & tracked progress against planned schedule of work. Produced Progress Reports, Manpower Histograms, S-curves etc and all the support data for weekly /monthly reports. Verified availability of materials, manpower, drawings etc to ensure realism & achievability of Plans. Reality-checked my project plans against interfaces / constraints / simops relating to other planned and possible Engineering & Platform activities. Interfacing with other Planning & Project personnel as part of integrated Planning process. Liaised with various disciplines, including other Planners, to achieve best practice in use of Planning tools & processes.
May 2006 to June 2008 - Manager/Leaseholder - The Maya Resort - Peninsula Malaysia
Manager of beach-front resort. As Manager/Leaseholder dealt with all administration & business management functions. Also responsible for planning / project managing the upgrading of chalets & infrastructure, and planning / developing a new shop & restaurant, creating / delivering regular plans and progress reports to the Resort owner after consultations with architect and building contractor

Manager of this Dive resort – including a busy 5-boat Scuba Dive centre, popular 100-seat restaurant, 35 staff. Responsible for all administration & business management functions
