Working Description:

Internal Audit

I was conducting operational audits and latest was Project Management Audit in Edaran. I was preparing the audit program and obtain approval from Head before proceed with audit work and report the issues to Head of Internal Audit on going basis. When the issues are finalised, I issue the Audit Query to the issue owner or Head of Department for their feedback and I draft a report on the issues highlighted and pass to Head together with appendixes. The reports are compiled and to be tabled in Audit Committee Meeting on quarterly basis. All the issues are supported with supporting documents and file in the working paper file. Internal Audit Department in Edaran only consists of Head of Internal Auditor and only one Executive Internal Auditor.

Member of Institute of Internal Auditor Malaysia since June 2008.

Project Management

I was appointed as a Secretary of Project Management Committee. My scope was to compile information and monitoring all the projects of Edaran Berhad. I was also appointed as Project Secretary/ Project Management Office for Petronas project amounting of RM 11 million partner with iPerintis Sdn Bhd(Subsidary of Petronas).

Risk Management

I was preparing the template together with input provided by top down management and conduct a session to discuss on those risks and sometimes an additional risks hihlighted through out the session. Update the existing controls and risk bubble and draft a report and pass to Head to be finalised.

Events

I was assisting Edaran staff for Edaran Endurance Classic that was conducted by Edaran every year. I was appointed to assist on Finance and also other portfolio.

Working Description:

Internal Audit

Methodology used: Risk Based Audit approach and Compliance Audit approach.

I was conducting audit processes based on the lead schedule provided by the senior-in-charge which is based on internal audit strategy for the respective year(s) which have been approved by the Audit Committee of the company.
I draft a report on the issues highlighted and discuss with a person in-charge on the issues have arisen to obtain factual accuracy before pass to senior-in-charge for reviewing.
Final report of audit is finalise by the senior-in-charge and pass to the Audit Committee of the company.
All the audit processes will be documented down in the working paper file and pass to the senior-in-charge for reviewing.

Risk Management

Methodology used: Australia and Switzerland Risk Management Standard and 5X5 Matrix.

Under Risk Management, what I was did is to identify the risk of the company after discussing with the key person of the company such as CEO, CFO, HOD and etc as it is only concern on strategic level. Besides that, I also facilitate a Risk Awareness Session & Re-assessment Workshop which was conducted by the senior-in-charge.
I also aliases with the appointed person of the company in order to ensure all the processes are in according to the schedule.
All the processes are documented in the working paper files and pass to senior-in-charge for reviewing.
Besides that, I do generate a report and pass to the audit or risk management committee of the client.

Key Controls Review

After the risk management process have been embedded in the client companies, all the controls that have been identified or confirmed by the company will be reviewed as to ensure their existing and the evaluation of their effectiveness are correct as to ensure all the risks have been allocated to the right place.
All the evidence will be documented in working paper file and the report is passing to audit committee or risk management committee.
