Department of Labor, Harpers Ferry, WV
Responsible for the overall safety program for the Department of Labor's Job Corps program. Write and enforce an Occupational Safety and Health Program in accordance with OSHA standards. Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly inspections of 17 facilities on 77 acres to ensure OSHA compliance. Oversee an Asbestos Management Program. Identify, analyze and abate all safety and security issues. Train personnel on safety topics as required by the Department of Labor. Write and maintain a Bloodborne Pathogens Emergency Control Plan. Write and maintain an Emergency Management Plan. Coordinate and Chair a Safety Committee. Train personnel on all safety plans and procedures. Supervise and maintain a GSA vehicle fleet of 15. Directly supervise facilities maintenance, transportation and security officer force totaling 11 personnel.
