Short-term research project
For the fulfillment of degree M. Sc. (Environmental Science) dissertation work carried out during IVth semester entitled as Trace Metal Intake Through Leafy Vegetables in Urban Areas: A Case Study of Mumbai. Sample collection, Analysis was carried out at Trace Analysis Lab., Environmental Monitoring and Analysis Section, Environment Assessment Division of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai under the guidance of Dr. T. N. Mahadevan, Head, Environmental Monitoring and Analysis Section and Dr. S. D. Kulkarni of Padmashri Vikhe Patil College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pravaranagar.

In the study an attempt has been made to determine the quality of wastewater used for urban farming. The effect of trace metal content of wastewater on the soil characteristics, uptake by vegetation, the bioaccumulation of metallic portion and its dietary significance were undertaken in consideration.
