* Develops agendas, organizes meetings, prepares staff reports and other correspondence and makes presentations to City Councils and various technical committees.
* Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of civil engineering and project management; encourages staff to do so as well.
* nCoordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees. Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
* nAnalyzes and interprets laboratory and field data from investigations. Reviews periodic progress reports from project engineers and architects on buildings under construction, and attends and participates in progress meetings.
