Currently the company's Environmental Specialist and PMC member, for Al Ain Municipality's "Integrated Solid Waste Management Project" comprising of Waste collection, Waste Transfer stations, Sorting station, Domestic Solid Waste and Hazardous Waste Landfill Site, a New Crushing Plant, Clinical Waste Incinerator & Fallen Stock Incineration Plant & Compost Depot – Reporting to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities include the following:

* Tender document preparation for Outsourcing of Waste Management facilities;

* Technical review of tender offers from operational Contractors;

* Preparing the Technical Terms of Reference and supervising execution of the following activities on behalf of the Client;

o Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies; report review; facilitating project clearance;
o Facilities Construction.
o Operation & Maintenance

* Contractor control on Environmental, Health & Safety matters; conduct due diligence on the contractors operations – ensure contractual responsibilities are met

* Client-Contractor interface on Environmental Matters;

* Data collection on the existing Waste Management System & survey report writing;

* Contractor Control during EIA studies & construction phase;

* Operational Supervision & Support;

* Management of Environment related issues on Municipal Contracts involving Waste Collection, Sorting Station, Compost Plants, Clinical Waste and Fallen Stock Incinerators, Landfill and hazardous Waste cell operations.

* Responsible for any other environmental related activities of this project, including design review etc;

* Drafting of Environment Management plan for the operation permits for the Environment Agency;

* Liaison with the Environmental Agency, Abu Dhabi on related environmental issues and recommending necessary legislations on various environment issues;

* Member of the technical committee for Al Ain Municipality as Environment specialist for offering technical expertise in environment related issues. The Committee has been set out for drafting a framework of activities in Integrated Waste Management in Al Ain and its regions.

Additionally, responsible for activities such as organizing pre-bid meetings, clarification meetings, review of consultants for the contractors on various activities of the project etc.

Municipal Solid Waste Management, Uran Municipal Council, India (2005-2006)
Responsibilities included detailed Field Study/ survey of flora and fauna at proposed site in Uran, assessment of Environmental Impacts of the project on biodiversity and endemic species. Design, liaison, and approval from client and implementation of the compensatory afforestation proposal at site. Devising and supervising awareness program using local media and the Municipal Council's staff throughout Uran City propagating waste minimization, source segregation and plastic recycling.

Restoration of Eutrophic Lake Using Bioremediation Technique, Thane Municipal Corporation, India (2004-2005)
Responsibilities included collection of baseline data, scheduling of bioremediation process with periodic checks of nutrient reduction - biotic parameters like algae and fecal coliform, filamentous algae and cyanobacteria problem and abiotic factors like phosphates, dissolved oxygen, dissolved nitrates etc. over a period of one year and maintenance of desired value for another year.
Use of Lab techniques for conducting BOD and COD as well as handling HPLC and AAM and other analysis of soil and water

EIA Studies for Light Alloy Products, India, 2002-2004 – Responsibilities include vegetation mapping & assessment of impact on ecology in the study area & report writing.

EIA Studies for Fertilizer Factory - EID Parry, India, April 2001 - Responsibilities include vegetation mapping in the study area & assessment of impact on ecology & report writing.

EIA Studies for Tattihalla Augmentation Scheme, Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd., India, March 2000 – Responsibilities included vegetation mapping, identification of sensitive flora & assessment of impacts of the Run-of-the-River project on ecology

Sr. Project Coordinator "Small Scale Anaerobic Digestion Systems for Rural Village Farms" – June 1998– Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.
Responsibilities include leading a team to design improved biogas reactor for better output and quality of gas; with an enhanced manure value of the remaining slurry.

Comparison studies on types of composting such as Vermicomposting, Aerobic composting and NADEP composting at different locations in India and its effect was evaluated with seasonal crop.
