As Commercial Officer – Tendering and Billing (1998 – 2003)

Responsible for Tenders, preparing proposals, cost estimates for Major Ship Conversion and Repair Projects.
Liaison with various departments such as Operations for Work Execution plans, Planning for Project Schedule/Manpower histograms, QA/QC, Legal and Finance dartments to establish project specific requirements.
Estimate costs on detailed breakdown level based on efficient work plans, quotes from Vendors and Subcontractors.
Establish Client and Yard deliverables and include in the tender.
Determine procurement items, the scope of supply and obtain offers and quotations from Third Party suppliers including delivery time.
Prepare the Offer Letter and bid package including drawings, planning etc.Follow up Technical and Commercial issues and bid clarifications.
Co-ordinate handover, post tender award, from tendering to project team and assist in raising the Change Orders.
Gather and evaluate price levels and cost estimates with previous projects and international bench market prices, including norms and factors.
