Objectives
To obtain full time employment as an environmental geoscientist.
Education
㻠B.S. Geology, Mississippi State University, May 2001
㻠M.S. Geology, University of Texas at Dallas, December 2003
Thesis
The subject of my research is the provenance and diagenesis of the Cretaceous Wall Creek Sandstone, Frontier Formation, Powder River Basin, Wyoming, with special emphasis on facies control of reservoir quality. Detailed petrographic analysis has revealed textural and compositional variations within and between fluvial and wave dominated sandstones. The study also included investigation of calcite concretions in the Wall Creek Sandstone to determine origin and timing of the cements and their influences on fluid flow. Results of this research will be used to test the asymmetric, wave-influenced delta model proposed by Bhattacharya and Giosan and complement ongoing reservoir characterization research on the Wall Creek and facies architecture of wave influenced deltas.
