Research Assistant (under the supervision of Professor Howard Wheater).
* LOCAR project (Lowland Catchment Research) This NERC project aims at developing an improved understanding of hydrological, hydro-geological, geo-morphological and ecological interactions within permeable catchment at different spatial and temporal scales and for different land uses. We are also developing improved modeling, database and GIS tools to inform and support the integrated management of the systems. I have been focused in building up modeling tools to integrate groundwater models (INCA) with ArcGIS. This will allow a better data input access and better spatial-temporal results.
* Yucca Mountain project I am performing hydrology and hydrogeology reviews of the reports produced by the DOE (US department of Energy), CNWRA (Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analysis), LBNL (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory) and Bechtel Corporation.
* River analysis I am doing a spectral analysis of hydrolab data (temperature, ph and electrical conductivity) of different UK rivers to allow estimation of dissolved carbon dioxide.

* Hydrology Study of Quilicura, Santiago The goals of this project were to identify the best sites for wells construction and to define and hydrogeology model for the zone.
* GIS Application for analysis and design of civil works This was the first project developed by the Chilean Government to improve the transferring of hydrology information between public and privates companies.

2000 – 2001 Master of Science, Thesis
"Snow Cover Modeling using 2D Cellular Automata"
Snow cover area was modeled during the melt period with a monthly temporal scale using bi-dimensional cellular automata models. The developed models allow to predict mean snow cover area and to forecast snow cover during snowmelt periods. The results were validated with snow cover information obtained from NOAA-AVHRR satellite images.
