I worked as a Gold Metallurgist for Scientific, Industrial and Research Development Centre (SIRDC). The project entailed developing a viable pretreatment and carbon in leach process for extraction of gold from refractory gold ore dump. I was part of the team that successfully commissioned the CIL processing plant. Some of my main responsibilities include:
„« Commissioning and optimization of cyanide-in-leach gold processing plant based on bench scale tests, process control and design of metallurgical tests on the run of mine ore
„« Metallurgical accounting and gold inventory, smelting and handling of gold bullion
„« Environmental impact assessment and occupational health awareness training
„« Commissioning and calibration of on-line cyanide solution probe
„« Commissioning and optimization of elution and carbon regeneration kiln and initiated custom elution and carbon regeneration for external customers to boost revenues for the project

„« Maintenance control and execution, in liaison with the Project Engineer and Process Plant Operators
