EMPLOYMENT RECORD: FROM October 2000 –April 2003 EMPLOYER: WSP – EAP (World Bank) POSITION HELD AND DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Water and Sanitation Specialist PROJECT: Water Supply and Sanitation Policy Formulation and Action Planning Project (WASPOLA) This is a five-year project of learning, policy formulation and implementation. WASPOLA applies a partnership approach to policy development, led by the Government of Indonesia, and drawing assistance from AusAID and the World Bank (WSP-EAP). Assisted the Team Leader and Project Coordinator in operating a small project Secretariat Office, to support the government working group and to implement all the activities under WASPOLA. FROM July 1998 to August 2000 EMPLOYER: MONTGOMERY WATSON POSITION HELD AND DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Water Supply and Treatment Engineer PROJECT: Detail Design of Intake Pumping Station and Pipeline This project, funded by the World Bank, designed raw water pipeline (17.5 km) and intake pumping station in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. This project include hydraulic calculation along the pipe and its accessories, designed for each crossing (road and river crossing) and pump determination. PROJECT: Kalimantan Water Supply Master Plan This project, funded by the World Bank, provided comprehensive water supply master plans for the eight largest cities in Kalimantan. The project includes investigation of all existing treatment plans, concept design of water treatment facilities, and water quality investigation of all surface and groundwater sources as well as salinity intrusion parameter for coastal rivers. M/s Walujan was responsible for gathering information about the water supply system for each city, and particularly to investigate the condition and capacity of water treatment plants. She was also responsible for designing and managing a water quality investigation for raw water and treated water sources as part of the project. PROJECT: Serang Water Supply Master Plan and Private Sector Participation Assisted with the investigation of the review of existing water sources and identification of future water resources for the rural and urban areas served by the Serang Water Enterprise located in West Java. This project, funded by the World Bank, also reviewed existing master plans for the area and investigated opportunities for private sector participation in the operation of some aspects of the water enterprise. PROJECT: Jakarta Water Supply Master Plan Review This project was carried out for one of the two private sector operators of Jakarta's water supply system. The project was aimed at defining the immediate system needs and five year plan for a water supply work system serving a city of over twelve million people. The work included an investigation of existing water treatment facilities, water resources and the distribution network. The final report identified the required water resources, a new treatment plant, work necessary for water quality improvements and the design of the distribution network to meet the needs of for north and west Jakarta for the next five years. PROJECT: Samarinda Water Treatment Plant Design This project, funded by the World Bank, provided detail design of 200 L/s water treatment plant for the City of Samarinda, Indonesia. M/s Walujan's duties included overall management and coordination of the preparation of a design report, specification and bid documents and design drawings for the civil, structural, electrical and mechanical aspects of the water treatment plant. The project also included site survey, cost estimation, tender document preparation and review of bids for the client. FROM February 1998 to July 1998 EMPLOYER: PT. RUHAAK PHALA INDUSTRI, Ltd. POSITION HELD AND DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Design Engineer Detail design of the 20 L/s Jonggol Water Treatment Plant in West Java. The plant was a modular steel design and incorporating a conventional treatment process. The work included detail design, cost estimation, purchasing of material and equipment, construction, and site supervision. FROM August 1997 to February 1998 EMPLOYER: PT. QIPRA GALANG KWALITA POSITION HELD AND DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Environmental Engineer This project, funded by a non-profit organization from Switzerland, was designed to improve public awareness of Jakarta's air pollution through seminars, competitions, workshops and public interest events. M/s Walujan's role was to prepare information and presentations for the program and to liaise with public groups that attended the public awareness events.
