Responsibilities:
- Apply Royal Commission Environmental Regulations (RCER) on industrial facilities in Jubail Industrial city
- Apply International Standards as (ISO14000) and compare it with Industrial operations impact in Jubail Industrial City.
- Inspect and audit industrial facilities to assess their compliance with RC's environmental regulations.
- Review the Air Quality Section of submitted Environmental Information Report (EIR) for new and modified facilities within the area.
- Monitor stack testing and review stack testing and monitoring reports and results for existing facilities in the city
- Work with many instruments and analyzers used to monitor air quality and air pollution such as Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), meteorology and air quality parameters.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports for meteorology and air quality conditions.
- Conduct daily checks and ensure proper operation of the meteorology and air monitoring stations around the city.
- Prepare technical information on air pollution control technologies and review Best Available Technologies (BACT) for environmental protection.
- Work on dispersion models such as Aloha, Breeze and Data Base Stack Monitoring.
- Compile information on the emission inventory of pollutants in Jubail
- Visit industries to carry out waste audits on hazardous and non hazardous waste.
- Visit hazardous and non hazardous sites to assess ongoing operations, monitoring, taking corrective actions and closing industrial waste management sites.
- Responsible for quality assurance and quality control of Royal Commission air quality data base.
- Responsible for all reports to Royal Commission based on data analysis (time average, comparison, exceedances, evaporation, weather reports, etc).
- Conducting of routine environmental auditing on selected industries.
- Performed routine industry inspection to assess the compliance of Royal Commission's Environmental, Health and Safety Regulations.
- Performed several air quality models for new and existing industries using ISC3.
- Reviewed environmental information reports for new industries.
- Representing Royal commission at stack emission monitoring tests.
- Responsible for generating Pollution Index for the industrial City with respect to gaseous and particulates.
- Offered consultations on safety, health and environmental matters.
- Responsible for VOC data evaluation and site selection for FTIR.
- Responsible to attend unforeseen environmental incidents and reporting to Royal commission with recommendations
- Designed packed bed scrubber using fresh water as the scrubbing liquid to remove organic vapour from a air stream.
- Developed a data base on Hazardous materials and health and safety equipment on the site.
- Reviewed the existing emergency response strategies and upgraded.
- Conducted awareness and training programmes to employees in other departments.
- Maintained accepted health and safety rules and regulations within the production facility.
- Reviewed the technical report for the evaluation and remedial proposals on EDC contamination in groundwater.
- Responsible for Industrial Monitoring, EIR Reviewing for new and existing industries, Environmental consultation and coordination on water quality, air quality, and solid waste with the Royal Commission and all industries. Also responding to emergency calls on environmental pollution incidents.
