ACTUELLE SITUATION
I am a PHD holder in process engineering at l'Université de Haute Alsace where I am also monitor engaged by the Center of Initiation of Higher education of Alsace. Thesis carried out with Laboratoire Gestion des Risques et Environnement GRE under the direction of Prof. Partick GILOT.
Set of themes of Research: Treatment – combustion (Air Pollution.)
Characterization of the effluents emitted during combustion as well as the CO2 sequestration during combustion. The setting of models which can contribute to the realization of industrial devices of treatment.

Thesis tiltle: « CO2 capture by calcium cycles in circulating fluidized bed: Experimental study and Modeling».
The thesis consists of an experimental study of the mechanisms of CO2 capture by carbonatation/decarbonatation cycle and of the feasibility of 130 MWe pilot scale with circulating fluidized bed (CFB), running on the petroleum coke and dependent on a cement-manufacturer context.
The process is characterized by a double chemical loop using calcium:
First stage: Capture CO 2 with formation of CaCO3 in a circulating fluidized bed reactor integrated in the cage of the waste heat boiler, using exceeding and recycled lime.
Second stage: the calcium carbonate is calcined for recovery of collected CO2 and recycling of the lime. This decomposition is done in a circulating fluidized bed functioning in oxycombustion.
A stage complementary to the process is the decomposition of CaSO4 to form calcium bisilicate (belite Ca2SiO4) in a separate reactor.
The essential points relating to this process are as follows:
- The support calcium is used for the carbonate and sulphate formation which is then decomposed;
- The losses of calcium reagents (fragmentation, fly ashes) are integrated in the circuits of handling of the cement factory and thus used. There is no worn catalyst on the contrary other processes of CO 2 captures;
- The process combines in a very narrow way technology CFB boiler, CFB treatment of the fume and cement factory.
