-January 2008/to present.
Black & Veatch, Costa Azul L.N.G, Baja California, Mexico, Mechanical Start-up Supervisor.

Supervisor during the pre-commissioning/commissioning, & start-up, of a 1 billion scfd of natural gas regasification terminal, owned by Sempra Energy. Among my duties so far are, but not limited to the following: night shift supervision of plant's process/instrumentation piping flushing/purging and cleanliness, this involves the air/gas/inert gas pressurization/depressurization/venting/blowing/purging/bleeding/inertness, of all plant's LNG/process/instrument piping, and following P&ID's schematics. Control valves removal/inspection/clean-up/assembly. Pipeline fabrication/rigging. Punch list walk-down/update. Supervising a crew of 8 to 10 local semi-skilled/non-skilled personnel (mechanics, welders, pipe fitters, compressor operators, general labor).

-February 2006/May 2006.
Wood Group, Jakarta, Indonesia, Maintenance Consultant.

Inspected/optimized, six reciprocating gas compressor trains (Ariel/Superior), operated by Star Energy, and located offshore Singapore (Kakap Natuna Field). Had to contact the OEM, in order to simulate the new process conditions, had to get new gas analysis/operating readings from end user, in order to plot new operating curves. Plotted the curves, and made recommendations to end user, regarding acceptable maintenance/operating practices. Had to get recommended spare parts. Had to support offshore maintenance personnel onboard an FPSO, assigned to this project.

-May 2003/October 2003.
Penpower, Cantarell Field, Bay of Campeche, Mexico, Maintenance Manager.

Maintenance Manager, onboard an off-shore gas compression platform (AKAL-GC) belonging to Duke Energy/Marubeni, this facility outputs a total of 300 mmscfd of sour gas (H2S), at a disch.press. of 1000 P.S.I, delivered to PEMEX (the Mexican state owned oil company). Among my duties were, but not limited to: planning of preventive/corrective/scheduled (10 K Hour plant shutdown ) maintenance, by using a CMMS (GP-Mate), on every major equipment onboard (2 RR-Allisons gen-sets, 1 Seatrax crane, 1 emergency recip. Gen-set, 3 I-R XLE recip. Instrument air compressors, process equipment (dryers, heat exchangers, process pumps), 2 Diesel driven fire-fighting pumps, R.O water maker units, 3 gas turbine driven centrifugal compressors G.E LM-2500/Nuovo Pignone), had to keep track/log/order, missing consumables/spares, had to contact vendors/3rdparty contractors, supervised 4 I/E techs., 6 mechanics, 1 I/E supervisor

-February 2002.
C & D Production Specialists, Gulf of Mexico, U.S, Mechanic.

Mechanic (Facilities Maintenance), onboard an off-shore deepwater oil & gas production platform (Ursa TLP), belonging to Shell Offshore Inc. Duties included the inspection/replacement of wire ropes on 3 Seatrax cranes, corrective/preventive maintenance on process pumps, R.O water maker units, monitoring of operational readings on 4 Solar Taurus turbo gen-sets, inspection of life rafts. Offshore the state of Louisiana, Mississippi Canyon, block MC-809, Gulf of Mexico, USA.

-September 1999/March 2000.
Vepica/Baker O&M, Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela, Mechanic.

Offshore mechanic during the final erection/hook-up, pre-commissioning and start-up, of an oil & gas production platform for the Chevron/Statoil/P.D.V.S.A consortium, (LL-652) on Lake Maracaibo, duties included the rigging of centrifugal pumps, gas turbine engines, VRU´s, WHRU´s, glycol pump/dryer units, centrifugal gas compressors, reciprocating pumps (Inlet/disch. piping set-up, inlet filter installation, mech.seal set-up, bearing inspection, coupling installation, shaft alignment, lub system/pipeline flushing/purging), setting of the computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) for rotating and static equipment, and the service of 4 Seatrax cranes.

Technical Advisor for a proposal preparation, for biding outsourcing, for operation and maintenance of gas compression plants belonging to Chaco (BP/Amoco), including predictive maintenance program for rotating and reciprocating equipment, preventive maintenance program, cost estimation, gas plant optimization program.

Field technician for a gas compression plant optimization, computer simulation and plotting of operating curves for reciprocating gas compressors, inspection of mechanical condition of integral and separable engine/compressors installed on the field (Cooper-Bessemer, Ariel, Clark, White-Superior, Ingersoll-Rand), Lasmo, Dacion field, El Tigre, Venezuela.

Gas compression plant, operator/mechanic, during the final erection, pre-commissioning (pipeline hydrostatic tests, plant nitrogen purging and flushing, leak check), and start-up, included the rigging of process equipment (vessels, separators, heat exchangers, gas measuring skids, instrument air compressors/valves), and main compressors (reciprocating White Superiors), on a contract, Eastern Venezuela.

Ingersoll-Rand Pump & Air Compressor Div., Venezuela, Serviceman.

Field service rep. for centrifugal pumps (multistage, vertical turbine, single stage, pipeline, boiler feed, process), belonging to PDVSA (The Venezuelan state owned oil company) mostly, included electro-mechanical erection, start-up and commissioning, major overhaul and repair, use of API 610 standard, Hydraulic Institute standard, P&ID's. Worked simultaneously for the Air Compressor group, as a Serviceman, among my duties were: field repairs/troubleshooting/erection/start-up/maintenance of centrifugal air compressors (CENTAC´s), air dryers, reciprocating high press. air compressors. This field work included bearing/rotor replacement/setting, overhauls, control system (EP/microprocessor) troubleshooting/repair/revamp, valve calibration, mechanical/electrical systems repairs, customer service, spare parts tracking/follow-up. Caracas/Maracaibo.

Predictive maintenance analyst for the production operations div.
