SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

DESIGNING:
* Working on the M88A1 and A2 "Hercules" Tracked Recovery Vehicle, designing and installing advanced Electronic and Tracking systems to be installed in new and current vehicles. Developing installation layouts and drawings to be shipped, along with equipment, to our forces in the field here and abroad.
* Redesign A10 aircraft in cooperation with Hill AFB for development of a thicker skin, converting board drawings into Unigraphics NX3 files. Setting up standards and seed files for models and assemblies to fit future designs.
* Developed, redesigned and tested the 1" D-Handle and Pistol Grip and the 1.5" D-Handle Impactools.
Worked alongside engineer and Vendors to produce an average 20% overall improvement in power.
* Followed parts through the entire design phase, working with Vendors to produce Investment and Sand castings, plastic injection molding, and SLA's (Stereo Lithography), to evaluate finished machined parts for performance qualities and testing procedures.

MODELING:
* Modeled, designed and installed high end electronic components for the government utilizing Unigraphics NX3. Including electrical routing and connections to produce a top level kit for review and installation purposes.
* Completed designs with heavy emphasis on Sketcher, Wave Geometry and Mating Conditions.
* Worked alongside Technical Illustrator using Shape Studio to produce solids used in Iges, step, DFX/DWG, and Parasolid files, providing excellent models for file transfers.
* Approved by supervisors to assist colleagues with issues in Unigraphics, using proper modeling and detailing guidelines.
TRAINING:
* Developed and administered a monthly Unigraphics training meeting comprised of 18 designers and supervisors. Researched/developed standards using HTML and the Intranet providing visual demonstrations utilizing projector and network connections.
* Introduced a department representative meeting to discuss topics of concern throughout mechanical/electrical engineering by rotating individuals who would serve as liaisons between their departments and all of engineering.
* Acknowledged by managers as "one of the most knowledgeable person in Engineering on the UGII CAD system". Gained trust and creditability resulting in having access to confidential files in the cad system, which were formerly only accessed by the System Administrator.

INFORMATION:
* Served as a member of a 15+ team who recommended and demonstrated need to adopt iMAN into the current Unigraphics file structure. Recommendation based on previous experience working at General Motors.
* Supervised file security and structure in mechanical engineering using Data Base Administrator privileges. Controlled access, established groups, and maintained integrity of files.
