Possessing 14 years of experience in operation and management of environmental protection, power and desalination plant and R&D laboratories. Expert in analytical technique (Organic, Inorganic and Material Lab), water and waste water management, environmental monitoring and compliance, corrosion measurement, corrosion inhibitor testing, Experienced in instrumental method of analysis according to the international standards (ASTM, US- EPA, etc.). Professional Experience
ƒæ Senior Chemist: Saline Water Conversion Corporation, Research and Development Center, Al-Jubail KSA ( April 2001 to January 2008.

Assignment:

Supervise laboratory and ensure that laboratory procedure, quality assurance and quality control, and certification are maintained. Calibrate and maintained laboratory equipment, plant online analyzers. Perform and analyze samples for different parameters by using classical and sophisticated instrumental methods of analysis, such as ICP-OES,ICP-MS, GC, and others spectroscopy techniques. Maintain laboratory inventory and order laboratory supplies. Monitor, maintain, and interprets laboratory analysis data, data entry, and data validation. Supervised a team of 5 chemists and 3 technicians. Analytical method development and writing various analytical techniques. Prepare and standardizes reagents for laboratory tests, calibrates and standardizes analytical instruments for analyses plant's chemicals according to their specifications.

Research and Development Responsibilities:

Carrying out studies for improving specification of water treatment chemicals. Carrying out studies for review & analytical evaluation of products, synchronize studies conducted on the basis of applied research & laboratory development with actual field conditions for providing technical backup service to on site problems. Writing research projects organize and follow up their implementation. Evaluation of various research projects and assess ways to utilize research findings based on research objective and plants need. ƒæ Desalination Engineer: Desalination and Power Desalination and Power Plant Ministry of Information Project, NATEL. Co. Duba KSA ( Dec 1998-Nov. 2000).

Assignment:
Management of water analysis laboratory for desalination plant associated with waste heat boilers, multistage flash seawater evaporators along with reverse osmosis, chlorination and water purification plant. Managed and supervised the emergency training of newly hired plant personnel for the management and system control of plant operating water systems. The systems consisted of boiler water pre-treatment system, low pressure boilers, steam condensate systems, an open recirculating cooling tower, and all associated chemical feed systems (wet and dry). Laboratory specific training for wet chemistry tests according to standard operating procedures established by the company, laboratory equipment calibration, and the explanation, use, and location of all MSDS documents for all chemicals associated with the water treatment plant and chemical analytical testing. Carryout analysis of all water samples from desalination and power plant. Analysis of lubricant oil, fuel oil, boilers deposit for various parameters. Support operation department during membrane cleaning and trouble shooting in the plant. Standardization of different chemical analysis procedures. Experimental trial run of various chemicals and optimization of chemical dosing. Inorganic and organic analyses of various samples such as seawater, product water, drinking water sample from MSF & R.O. plants.

Assignment:
Supervision of highly sophisticated Environmental Protection Laboratory for sea water cooling project affiliated to Petrochemical and Fertilizer industries. Physico-chemical analysis of water and wastewater for various parameters as per Standard Methods of the Examination of water and wastewater (APHA, AWWA, US-EPA). Analyses of soil, solid wastes and sludge of hazardous and industrial nature in accordance with US-EPA, ASTM method. Evaluation of solid wastes for organic and inorganic parameters using conventional wet chemical techniques as well as the modem instrumentation. Perform field work for environmental assessment and water monitoring (both ground and surface waters).
