OVERVIEW
Highly motivated and result-oriented professional with exceptional leadership, motivational and communication skills. Solid record of accomplishment in consistently meeting and exceeding goals and expectations. My innate and acquired multi-disciplinary capabilities allows me to provide insightful, responsive and effective project management in concert with the specific technical and regulatory nuances of individual projects. Also interested in pursuing geotechnical, mining, petroleum, teaching or technical writing related possibilities.

CITIZENSHIP Dual citizen of USA and Canada

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Professional Geologist since 1977. I have spent 19 years employed full time as a Senior Geologist and Project Manager for several southeastern Mass. consulting firms responsible for project management of hazardous waste site assessment, remediation and closure issues relative to MGL Chapter 21E involving soil contamination investigations; hydrological/hydrogeological investigations; site remediation; environmental site assessments, water supply projects and geotechnical investigations. I have become increasingly familiar with the methodology, equipment and techniques used for subsurface hydrological investigations to include direct reading thermal pulse groundwater flowmeters; air sparging; monitoring well installations; soil and groundwater sampling procedures; pump and treat remediation systems; the latest MCP 21E procedures; land use surveys; subsidence dredging (Reverse Layering); UST monitoring and soil gas (vapor) profiling, geotechnical loadbearing evaluations and conservancy soil investigations.

I have developed a working familiarity with a comprehensive cross-section of geological and environmental engineering experience along with sound regulatory and strategic consulting abilities. The culmination of these experiences include MCP compliance strategies, environmental impact assessment, hazardous waste site assessment, remedial system design and management of overall site clean-up and closure to include effective public participation, as required.

I recognize that scheduling contracted activities is critical to achieving project success and am committed to establishing project controls by acknowledging project task timelines, duration and budgets which will insure timely completion of same within the established project schedule.

The nature of the consultant / client / regulatory body relationship necessitates that I am committed to my client's needs and strive to make every conscientious effort to ascertain, understand and render a level of service and advocacy which, in the same circumstances, I would apply to myself.

Prior to this, I spent 11 years in the petroleum exploration industry as a consulting geologist acting as a direct liaison between the operators' exploration office and the wellsite. My clients were Chevron, Mobil, Exxon, Husky and Petrocanada among others. During this period I became familiar with all aspects of well bore interpretation, formation and pore pressure evaluation, sedimentary petrology, coring operations and basin analysis. Eleven years in the continuous, round-the-clock operations of the petroleum industry have made me a skilled problem solver and excellent technical/report writing skills and project and personnel management skills.
