Objective
Senior Electrical Engineer, with high experience in Electronics, microprocessors and computers, those gave me wide understanding of the operation and maintenance of the modern control systems and panels.
Skills, Abilities
Working with electronic control systems since 1995, and gained hands on experience in the following:
Microcontrollers:
Intel (MCS-51, 86x …), Motorola (68x…), and Microchip (PIC16x, PIC18x …).
Hardware:
High Experience in Control systems in Design, Analysis, Maintenance, Troubleshooting and repair), PLCs Programming (Siemens S3-700 …).
Programming:
Assembly, Embedded C, Borland C++3.1, Visual C++ 6, Java, Linux Shell script, C under Linux.
Networking and Communications:
* LAN and WAN design and maintenance (wire and wireless links), Switches and Routers configuration, VoIP networks troubleshooting, Operation and maintenance.
* Design a wireless sensor network; include hardware, physical layer (using Radiometric BIM1 174 MHz Transceiver), MAC layer using pure TDMA, network and application layers, all layers from scratch.
Construction field Electrical and Low Current Systems:
Designing and executing electrical and modern low current systems for buildings' construction, like: Structured cabling, IP telephony, IPCCTV, IPTV, Access control, Security systems, public address, BMS …. and making the required systems integration for them.
Computer:
DOS, Win3.11, Win95, Win98, WinNt4, Win2000 Professional and Server, Wimp, And Office97, 2000, XP, and ORCAD circuit design package, Autocad2008, Ethereal, Linux, UNIX Solaris.
Work Experience
Construction Low Current systems coordinator – SBG-ABCD, KSA – Jan 2007 – Present
* Working with the main contractor to study and review the design of the low current systems (from the subcontractor), to assure that design approve the project MTR (Minimum Technology Requirements), then follow up the execution in site to assure that working on site is according to the approved submittals and running as planed time schedule, and coordinate with other trades.
Control systems design and manufacturer –Technoware Co.,Egypt–Jan 2005–Dec 2006
* Developing a complete Muscle Stimulation system with PIC18F8621, The device output multiplexed high voltage signal, and getting feedback from Gyroscope ADXL150 and Accelerometer ADXL202 through FIR digital filter.
* Designing microprocessor control for large and small washing machines.
Technical manager – Sofisat Co., Egypt – Oct 2001 - Dec 2004
* multinational project, which uses VoIP and wireless technologies to provide commercial PSTN telephone service to subscribers, wherein maintain wireless link to the telephone Exchange, I trained a team of engineers and technicians for assembling the cabinets' hardware (which installed in the streets), site installation and configuration, telephone Exchange servers creating and running, until making test phone call from the cabinet, and troubleshooting any arising problems.
* Participating in improving the overall system performance, by suggesting solutions to the faced technical problems, and also developing the needed hardware and software modules, discovering and solving many network traffic problems.
Embedded systems Engineer – ATI, Boston MA _ USA – Jan 2001 - Aug 2001
* Customize and maintain the Firmware of Wireless Emergency Warning SCADA System, consists of Siren RTUs making high power audio output (up to 2000W). RTU have wireless communication through 2-way Motorola Radios with CCU which communicate serially with a host PC.
Biomedical Engineer – IE (Bahgat Group), Egypt – Jan1999 - Dec 2000
* Made maintenance, troubleshooting and repaire (up to component level) for medical equipments, especially ultrasonic machines (NewSonic), this gave me high experience in surface mount packages rework, PLD using and programming, DSP processor using and interfacing.
* Taught a course in Ultrasound machines theory, Instrumentation, maintenance and troubleshooting for engineers.
* Working in the R&D division, made general purpose ISA interface card (with wire wrap), and participate in designing various medical equipments
Software Engineer – Lightsoft Co., Egypt – Jan 1998 – Dec 1998
* Participate in Developing Visual C++ multimedia program, called "Wallmaker" which utilizes DirectX technology for animation and presentation.
Firmware Architecture – D.G. Misr Co., Egypt – June 1995 - Dec 1997
* Designed the Firmware and modified the Hardware for the RTU and CCU for SCADA system.
* Designed Access Control System H/W and S/W, include stand alone terminal for signatures, and PC software to deal with the terminal.
* Developing a simulator to marine engine (air starting) for teaching and troubleshooting purposes using the motherboard of the PC/XT as a stand-alone control board. Made disassembling to BIOS code, and design a control program with assembly language at bios level, and burned it after the BIOS code, then followed BIOS code until it begin to boot from disk (INT 19), and instead jump to the beginning of the program. There was only I/O data accusation card, display card, and a logic-relays board for control.
* After sale training on NORAL British Emulator, using source code (assembly and C) for processor Emulation, and using various features of the emulator.
* Develop and Install a PC based Parking control system, working 24 hours in Cairo since 1997, consists of 4 BARCODE Readers Units, connected with the PC through RS232 COM1 port, developed the control program for the PC with Borland C 3.1 (DOS based), which make the required communication and logging functions.
