3.2 Field Practical Attended:
1. Paddy production, processing and marketing in Lower Moshi. I participated in making preliminary survey to paddy producers, processors and marketers, conducted focus group discussions with farmers. The aim was to evaluate the performance of paddy producing, processing and marketing enterprises in Tanzania in the face of the on-going economic reform. Duration of Five weeks.
2. The market study of the Tanzania Agricultural and Livestock input Management and Distribution Institutions. I participated in making preliminary survey to various institutions dealing with farm inputs and making interviews, the aim was to seek ways to strengthen the systems of Tanzania Agricultural and Livestock Inputs Management and Distribution Institutions after agricultural marketing liberalization. The case of Tanzania Farmers' Association. Duration of Five weeks.

5.0 WORKING EXPERIENCE
5.1 Appointments a. Senior Chamber Development Officer, Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA): Since Nov. 2007 to date. My duties including Provide information to the business community directly or through the Regional Chambers; Act as a link between head office and respective offices by disseminating economic and trade bulletin, special publications on business and the economic environment to the business community in the respective regions; Conducting market surveys and economic intelligence/ research on activities of interest to the business community in the respective regions; Provide advisory services to business community with regards to Commerce and Environment; Networking and building strategic alliances by identifying and maintaining national and international contact in the private sector development fields and Preparing annual budgets and business plans of the sector.
b. Acting General Manager/Senior Research Executive, Consumer Insight Africa, a Market research agency: Since January 2006 to June 2007. My duties including achieving country's business financial objectives; Carrying out client service & project management, strategic business planning and training of staff, as well as ensuring proper implementation of research projects as per stated objective.
c. Corporate, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, Plan International, Humanitarian Organization: since March 2004 to January 2006. My duties including Using organization's guidelines facilitate and provide support for the situation assessment of programme communities to establish a baseline for programme planning and end of programme evaluation; Providing support in the development of the Country Strategic Plan and Country programme to be in line with the corporate guidelines and ensure planned programmes and related documents are entered in the organization's Programme and Project Module (PPM) system at both national and field levels; Provide support to national and field staff in the use of PPM system to monitor programmes and project implementation ensuring accurate information is entered into the system at both national and field levels to produce reliable monitoring information; Providing support to technical advisors and field programme staff in carrying our research activities to determine outcome indicators of interventions in the programme areas; Providing support in the evaluation of programmes and projects.
d. Programme Coordinator, Eastern and Southern African Universities Research Programme (ESAURP), Research and Training Institute: Since June 2002- March 2004. My duties including assists in preparing proposal to donors; Cooperate with fellow researchers in developing research instruments; Facilitate and participate in data collection, entry, analysis and report writing for any research project undertaken; Identify and prioritise researchable community constraints; Advising on research and training priorities;
5.2 Voluntary Works a. Environment and natural resources management: Since July 1997 to June 2001 have been working at different expertise and capacities in environmental and natural resources management. Areas serve include facilitating, assessing and evaluating of environmental, natural resources and development activities; projects and programmes at community levels. Experience 4 years.
b. Conducted baseline data collection, entry and analysis on 'Market Liberalization and Integrated grain markets in Tanzania', under the Sokoine University of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness and Department of Computer Studies, August – October 2001 (3 months)
c. From January 2002 – June 2002, I worked with Business Times Limited as Marketing Officer. My duties included soliciting advertisements for newspapers, identifying and recommending to advertising manager potential customers, advising the Advertising Manager on possible ways for expanding the company's market for its products and services provided after doing research, as well as enhancing customers satisfaction by making follow-up to ensure that all advertisement insertions collected appear in manner and date requested. (18 months).
