Principle Engineer
ZWZ CONSULTING LTD, CALGARY, CANADA 2008/08 - PRESENT

To provide water/wastewater treatment consulting services to EPC, oil and gas operators and government.

* BECA/ Coal Seam Gas to LNG in Australia, responsible for conducting research and engineering studies for produced water treatment and reuse (for power cogeneration, municipality and agriculture) and infrastructure studies to evaluate design options and to generate innovative alternatives.
* BECA/ Victoria Government, Australia. A Greenfield 150 GL/yr (produced potable water) seawater desalination (reverse osmosis) plant in Melbourne. Responsible for develop and review of design basis, hydraulic and energy consumption, plant layout and P&IDs. Also lead the valuation creation activities to optimize the system configuration.
* Jacobs/ Shell, 50,000 BPSD Vertical Steam Drive (VSD) enhanced oil recovery plant (DBM) for Shell. Performed Cogeneration and water heat integration studies and evaluation. Responsible for BFW, water ion (chemistry) balance development, brackish water treatment (Reverse Osmosis) and Zero Liquid Discharge (Evaporator + Crystallizer + Dryer) package preparation. Coordinate project team to develop design option evaluations and engineering documents.

Process Specialist
FLUOR, CALGARY, CANADA 2005/09 - 2008/08

* Process engineer for Petro-Canada Mackay River Expansion project, a 42,000 BPSD grass root Enhanced Oil Recovery plant (DBM), leading water balance (ion) development, water treatment (include Zero Liquid Discharge), heat integration and process data update for EIA approval. Conducted various process studies to evaluate design options and cost cutting ideas. Prepared vendor packages and lead bid evaluation.
* Design engineer for New Refinery Project, a 615,000 BPSD grass root refinery (EDS) of Kuwait National Petroleum Company, responsible for unit operations include water treatment for both processing unit and domestic users and cooling water system. Conducted studies and water system mass and chemistry balance for design basis updates.
* Technical lead for water management plan, water balance development, ultra-pure water (reverse osmosis), storm water and wastewater treatment a grass root 400 MMSCF gas treatment and processing Project. Prepared block flow diagrams, key equipments sizing, and general plot plan. Review and evaluate vendor packages. HAZOP review.
* Technical lead for water management plan, water balance development and wastewater treatment for Foothill Oilsands Project a grass root 200,000 BPSD heavy oil upgrader (Scoping) and Total Athabasca Project a grass root 150,000 BPSD heavy oil upgrader (DBM). Conducted process studies to present options and to make recommendations. Performed water balance and distribution review. Prepared block flow diagrams, key equipments sizing, water management plan and plant layout.

Project/Process Engineer
MARSHALL MACKLIN MONAGHAN LIMITED, CALGARY, CANADA 2004/06 - 2005/08

General duties include preparing scope of work, process control narratives, developing P&IDs and plot plans Datasheet, equipment specifications, bid evaluations. Project engineering included construction, commissioning and operation support, preparing government applications. Some Projects see below.

* Lead Design engineer for water treatment plant upgrade project for a military base of National Defence of Canada. Performed process evaluation of the existing conventional treatment plant operation and prepared pilot testing plan for confirmation of the replacement of the existing sand filters with ultrafiltration membrane.
* Process Engineer Design engineer for a water treatment units for Long Lake Project of Nexen. Unit operation include Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, storage tanks and distribute system.
* Design engineer for a treated municipal wastewater recycle project for Alberta Industrial Heartland. Membrane (ultra-filtration) treated municipal WWTP effluent was pumped to various industrial plants as makeup water.

Project/Process Engineer
EARTH TECH CANADA INC., EDMONTON, CANADA 2003/09 - 2004/05

* Process engineer in conceptual and detailed design of Alberta Capital Region Wastewater Treatment Plant. The existing activated sludge plant was upgraded to Biological Nutrients Removal(BNR) plant and capacity was increased from 70ML/d to 87.5ML/d ADWF. Conducted site survey and process studies to identify options and to make recommendation to client. Review and selecting key design parameters from BIOWIN simulations. Prepared the process control narratives, process drawings, data sheets and the specifications for the Bioreactor and the Digester.
* Provided services during construction include review of shop drawings, review and implement design changes, operator training and commissioning.
