OBJECTIVE

I am interested in applying for a position as a Health & Safety Technician. My expertise lies in the design and implementation of safety programs for the Oil & Gas, Mining, and Construction industries as well as Refinery/Power generation facilities. The diverse background from which I have to draw on enables me to quickly adapt to any corporations needs or requirements. Additionally the, "Safety Coach" instead of "Safety Cop", approach I take to doing my job helps me to quickly build a solid rapport with the individuals I work with. Typically I work as an independent contractor, but prefer a direct hire position if available.

QUALIFICATIONS

I have 15 years in the oil field industry. I have worked on land and offshore as EH&S, welder, floor hand, derricks and motorman. I have a Master Drillers Certification. I have 12 years experience in EHS that includes Medic-First Aid/CPR & AED Instructor, over seeing critical lifts, conducting safety meetings, tool and machine inspection, implementing safety procurers for various job operations and locations, hazard awareness, confined space permits, left permits, and incident investigation LOTO. I also have training in fire fighting and fire rescue, NORM, SPCC, blood born safety, verbal judo, and other fields that deal with safety and health. I have 15 years of industrial and Pipeline construction experience and about 2 years of sales and marketing. I am experienced with computers and most office machines.

* EH&S Field Coordinator for deep water drilling operations.

* Served as Siemens lead for the Environmental Health & Safety discipline in all aspects of related work at both Converter Station sites (one located in Pittsburg Ca. the second site: San Francisco). I commute between both sites.
* My duties are to support the GPM, SM and others in discussions related to the environment, health & safety discipline with Consortium partner, Owner (and interested parties), local permitting authorities and contractors.

BP (Deep Water GOM) 10/2005 to 5/2006

* Worked as HSE aboard the Thunder Horse over seeing construction and of 3rd contractors
* Some of my duties were to produce monthly tendering reports of incidents, provide leadership and assist /lead/coach in incident investigation, issue safe work permits, air quality testing, coordinating safe work guidelines and maintain EHS records.
* Oversaw safety meetings and drills.
* I also worked aboard various vessels in the Gulf as HSE overseeing diving operations and Hurricane Katrina repair.

KBR (Syncrude Alberta, Canada) 4/2005 to 10/2005

* EH&S Coordinator over seeing area contractors
* As EH&S Coordinator my duties are to see that all contractors and employee's are in compliance with Canada's OH&S and Syncrude regulations and polices. This Syncrude project is the largest plant upgrade in the world with over 14,000 employee's on location and using some of the largest contractors in the world.
