* Task Force member for establishment of Oil Spill Response Plan for refineries in line with the KPC plan, NOSCP of State of Kuwait and as per IPIECA guidelines
* Implementation of EMS (ISO 14001) as part of SHEMS program, conducting internal audits, emergency preparedness drills, audits etc.
* Undertaking Training Programs for Operators, UDEs' and other staff management on Kuwait EPA environmental management in refineries
* Preparation of Management monthly environmental performance reports which includes air emissions, liquid effluents, solid waste generation and status of environmental projects for company management, KPC and to Kuwait EPA.
* Undertaken a remediation of contaminated sites at refinery by carrying out Environmental Site Assessment of all sites in phased manner and by conducting Bio-remediation trials.
* Procedure developed on Environmental guidelines to be followed by refinery during shutdowns/ major turn around activities.
* Pollution control of land, air and water and carry out a wide range of environmental audit, inspection, investigation and testing activities at various Refineries Operations.
* Established a Service Contract for Monitoring measurements viz.air quality, effluent quality, handling and management of toxic and hazardous wastes etc. for refineries.
* Report undesirable conditions and implications thereof together with recommendations for improvement in order to achieve Company policy/ objectives on Environment Protection and Management in compliance with Kuwait EPA standards and US-EPA as appropriate.
* Involved in software implementation of software based Environmental Management Reporting System.
* Development of monitoring equipment specifications, tender documents, capital budgets proposals to fulfil the requirements for functioning of Environment division.
* Involved in conducting Tabletop exercises, Field Drills for emergency preparedness plans and Oil spill Response plans Carrying out awareness program for employees.
* Outreach program for school children and general public in line with company policy
* Involved in bench marking study of environmental performance with respect to M/s Shell Global Solutions and M/s Solomon Associates.

* Conducting Annual Environmental Audits and Statements and Compliance Reports regarding the performance of pollution control equipment. Co-ordination with Ministry of Environment & Forests, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Centre for High Technology, Oil Industry Safety Directorate in relevant to the Environmental Management of the Refinery Operations.
* Self involved in the formulation of Refinery "Environmental Management Policy" and responsible for getting the accreditation of ISO 14001 for the Refinery operations.
* Responsible for technical services/ process advices to Effluent Treatment Plants of Refinery and other facilities to treat to "MINAS" standards comprising of inflows of Cooling Water, Merox Water, Floor Washing Water and other process waters associated with the refineries.
* Involved along with M/s Engineers India Limited, in selection of the process, engineering and design of the modifications of the above-mentioned plants to meet the "MINAS" standards.
* Involved in Process Design, execution and technical services for Domestic Sewage Reclamation through Reverse Osmosis Plant and Ultra filtration system (first of its kind in India).
* Monitoring Source and AAQ monitoring. Specification development and setting up of Continuous On-line Ambient Air Quality monitoring systems in the Refinery in the upwind and downwind directions by software based dispersion modeling.
* Designed Oily sludge Disposal facilities within the Refinery Complex by considering various technological options.
* Core committee member for development of Common Hazardous waste facility in Manali Industrial complex consisting refinery, Fertilizer, Petro chemical industries etc.
