PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
* September, 2004 to Present: Waste Management, Suburban Landfill, Inc., Glenford, OH. Employed as Landfill Engineer. I am responsible for engineering for three (3) sanitary landfills in the southeast Ohio area. Duties include: Project management, environmental oversight, budget preparation and management. I have overseen two (2) cell construction projects and storm water management. I administer bid documentation and specifications. I assist site personnel in Landfill Gas Systems, Leachate Management Systems, and Water Protection Systems.
* April, 2004 to September, 2004: Self Employed. Assist engineering consulting firms with special projects, mainly in mining, earth moving, and environmental fields. I have a Hobby Business of outdoor woodworking projects. I also assist my wife with her home interior sales business.
* October, 1988 to April, 2004: Murray Energy Corporation. I have held several positions for these companies under the same ownership. During this period, annual production increased from 2.2 Million tons in 1988 to over 23 million tons in 2003. Each position change represents a promotion.
October, 1995 to April, 2004: Maple Creek Mining, Inc., Bentleyville, PA. Employed as Chief Engineer. I was responsible for all engineering to operate two (2) bituminous deep mines, a coal preparation plant, three fine coal slurry ponds, two coarse refuse disposal areas, and several support facilities. This work included; overall mine design; compliance with federal, state and local rules, regulations and policies; environmental oversight; and development of annual operating budgets. During this period, I also served as a member of the board of directors for the Pennsylvania Coal Association.
March, 1994 to October, 1995: The Ohio Valley Coal Company, Alledonia, OH. Employed as Senior Project Engineer: During this period I worked on business development and acquisitions. I performed business evaluations of potential mine acquisitions and conducted Phase I environmental audits of the liabilities associated with the acquisitions.
February, 1992 to March, 1994: Oneida Coal Company, Inc., Sutton, WV. Employed as Chief Engineer for this operations that included eleven (11) small bituminous deep mines, three (3) surface contour strip mines, two (2) coal preparation plants, two (2) rail loadout facilities and three (3) refuse disposal areas.
March, 1990 to February, 1992: The Ohio Valley Coal Company, Alledonia, OH. I was employed as Mining Engineer. Duties included preparation of air pollution and environmental permits for the Ohio Valley Coal Company and its related companies. I assisted in the development of acquisition properties.
October, 1988 to March, 1990: Energy Resources, Inc., Brockway, PA. I was employed as a Mining Engineer for this bituminous surface mine operation that included twenty two (22) active surface mine operations, two (2) coal crushing and screening operations, and two (2) rail loadout facilities. I was responsible for all permit activities and environmental compliance.
* 1988: Power, Inc., Osceola Mills, PA. I was employed as an Operator/Supervisor of a heavy media coal preparation plant that used a unique fine coal recovery system developed in Belgium. During this period, I worked with an international work force to maximize efficiency of this fine coal system.
* 1987: Skelly and Loy, Clearfield, PA. I was employed as a Mining Engineer for this engineering consulting firm. My primary responsibilities included preparation of surface mine permits for various clients.
* 1984-1986: First Century, Corp., Mildred, PA. I was employed as a Mining Engineer for this Semi-Anthracite surface mine operation. This operation included three (3) active surface mines and a heavy media preparation plant.
* 1983: The Oasis Tavern, Inc., Philipsburg, PA. I was a managing partner of this tavern/restaurant operation.
* 1977-1982: Barnes and Tucker Company, Barnesboro, PA. I was employed as a Mining Engineer from 1981 through 1982. My responsibilities included mine design and preparation of ventilation and roof control plans. I was also responsible for environmental and quality control. Prior to graduation from college, I worked as an hourly worker in the underground mines during off semesters.

* Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Word Perfect, Lotus 123, AutoCAD, SurvCADD and other programs.
