Job Objective

Senior top level assignments in Projects/Operations Management in the Base Metals Industrial Sector.

SUMMARRY OF EXPERIENCE:
I am a First Class B. E. in Metallurgical Engineering with business management, having held various senior technical and managerial, project management and general management positions in the base metals & mining, Consultancy, EPC & Project Management engineering industries. I have in depth appreciation of national and international business environment in these industries.

I am having more than three decades of experience in these industries in operations & maintenance & execution of more than thirty multi – disciplinary projects in consultancy, engineering, EPC, project management and commissioning both in India and overseas. This experience includes:

I have an experience of more than 12 years in process plant operations & maintenance, PPC, process & technology audits, bench marking, costs & budget control and general management including six years as Assistant Plant Manager working in hydro & pyro — metallurgical primary Zinc Smelters and associated Cadmium, residue treatment – both conversion & Walez process plants, Sulphuric acid & Fertilizer plants.

I am further having experience of more than 18 years in management & engineering consultancy, bankable feasibility & financial appraisals studies, technology appraisal & selection studies, EPC, Project Management, contract management, construction & commissioning of zinc; lead, gold & silver & copper refineries; cadmium; cast copper rod plant; nickel; tin; & titanium sponge and led a team of multi — disciplinary and commissioned projects ahead of time schedule and within budgets.

Professional Membership/ Associations:

I have been empanelled by the ONEID - Institute of Director for Independent directorship. I have been provisionally issued the Directors Identification Number (00018676) by Ministry of Company Affairs, Government of India.

I am a member of Consultancy Development Centre (CDC) and have also represented the governing councils of CDC, and Consulting Engineers Association of India (CEAI) – both are associates of FIDIC.

I am a Life member of Indian Institute of Metals (IIM). I have also served the IIM at different capacities as honorary — secretary, joint secretary, treasure etc., at Visakhapatnam and Delhi Chapters. I have also organized number of International Seminars/ Conferences/ Exhibitions on Metallurgy, Metals & Minerals.

I have also represented sectional committee on Light Metals & Alloys (MTD – 7) of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). I am also being shortly nominated to the sectional committee on Lead, Zinc, Cadmium, Tin & other Non – Ferrous Metals (MTD-9) of BIS.

Visits/ Assignments Abroad:

I have also visited abroad numbers of metallurgical plants for Zinc (both Hydro & Pyro – metallurgical); Cadmium; Mercury Removal & Recovery; Sulphuric acid; Lead, Silver & Gold Refineries; Secondary Copper refineries and Continuous Cast Copper rod (CCR) plants, in Norway, France, and USA. Prepared a due diligence report on Secondary Metals Recovery & Refining & Copper Rod plant at Gaston, USA.

Rewards:

• Executed a pioneer Environmental protection project of Removal of Mercury from the sulphur dioxide roaster off – gases, utilized for the production of Sulphuric acid. I have received appreciation letters for high productivities/ productions and exemplary trouble shooting to bring back the plant into production in the shortest period of time.
• I have also received appreciation letters from clients for executing the projects ahead of time schedule and within the budgeted costs.
