• Class D Industrial and Class IV Municipal Indiana Wastewater Treatment Operators Licenses

• Held environmental-related positions my entire career

• Began as a wastewater treatment operator with all the typical hands-on responsibilities, and have advanced upwards throughout that field while accepting vital additional environmental duties at the facility

• From January 1994 to July 2006 fully responsible for all environmental compliance issues for Smurfit/Altivity as Manager of Environmental Affairs

• Air emissions, fully responsible for application and implementation of Title V permitting for the facility and creating all associated plans, stack testing and monitoring plans and reporting

• Air construction permit application, PSD reviews, Continuous Release Reporting

• Water emissions, fully responsible for NPDES permitted discharge, including permit application and implementation and day-to-day treatment system operation

• Solid and hazardous waste disposal, fully responsible for implementation of these programs at the facility, created waste minimization plan
• Special waste recycling plan and waste storage monitoring and hazardous waste annual reporting

• Application for and daily administration of Land Application Program for wastewater sludge, including creation of best management plans for application to farmland and as coal mine reclamation

• All environmental-related reporting, record keeping as required

• Tier II, Form R, Air Emission Statement, Air Compliance Monitoring and Certification DNR Water Withdrawal Report, NPDES DMRs and MROs

• Radiation Protection Officer for all USNRC-licensed facility activities

• MSDS program, including instituting and implementing New Product Approval System

• Maintained all facility environmental files

• Created computer-based facility Environmental Management System

• Environmental auditing experience as part of a corporate audit system, both as an auditor and representative for facility audit

• Primary facility contact with all regulatory agencies, including correspondence and meetings related to all aspects of environmental compliance

• Experienced with inspectors, established and implemented facility inspection procedure program manual

• Experience in agreed order negotiations and implementing agreed orders between agencies and facility

• A large part of my responsibility has involved managing both local improvement and capital projects
