* Use GIS software effectively in various situations to create required documents and applications.
* Locate, select, organize, and document information using appropriate technology and information clearly and concisely.
* Organize, manipulate, summarize, and analyze spatial data by effectively utilizing statistical and database design concepts.
* Analyze, evaluate and apply relevant information from a variety of sources. Manage the use of time and other resources to complete projects.
* Interpret, georeference, correct and classify remotely-sensed imagery for use in GIS. Specialized on digitization.
* Analyze complex geographic data sets according to given specification and parameters.
* Apply software programming concepts and techniques to create programs for a specific task purpose by using web based languages like JavaScript, HTML, Java, and Xhtml.
* Customize digital mapping and GIS software to enhance functionality or increase efficiency.
* Create programs for a specific task or purpose by applying software programming concepts and techniques accomplished with ESRI's ArcGIS 9.1 software package (i.e. Arc Map, Arc Scene, Arc Wiev, Arc Catalog…etc.)
* Competent at raster & vector manipulations, statistical & spatial analysis and cartographic theory & design.
* Some programming experience in C, VB.Net and VBA (Arc Objects) Extensive practice with SQL.
* Proficient at managing Oracle 9i and SQL Server 2000 databases.
* Familiar with Microsoft Visio & Project 2003.
* Up-to-date knowledge and experience in PC hardware components. Can work effectively with most Microsoft operating systems (i.e. Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, and XP Professional). Excellent grasp of all Microsoft Office Packages.

* Strong interest in geomorphology, watershed hydrology, epidemiology, computer hardware and projection technology, and digitization.
