Work Experience:

From January 2006 till at present: -

Working as Management System Consultant providing training, indoctrination and consultancy services to industries in the areas of Quality and HSE. Some of the companies ( both at Gulf and in India are as follows: -

1) Atlantic Marine Services at Sharjah,, provided them consultancy in the areas of fabrication, welding, electrical motors, HVAC in ship repair services and got them ISO9001:2000 in September 2006

2) Litronics India Limted which is manufacturing electrical CFL with USA collaboration for ISO9001:2000

3) Vijay Precision Dies, manufacturing, and exporting unit in India diamond dies for wire drawing
( ISO9001:2000)

At present I shall be required to take up the venture of providing consultancy for OHSAS 18001
which for LPG gas supply unit in India.

I have the tie up with Certification body Phonix Progressive Certification enterprises, for providing certification for ISO9001:2000, ISO14001:2004, OHSAS 18001 and ISO9001:2000 HACCP

From March 2003 till December 2005

I was working for a manufacturing and service industry connected with oil and gas at Sultanate of Oman as Quality and HSE Manager. My primary functions, responsibilities and achievements are as follows:-

1) I have evolved, introduced and implemented Quality Management System as per ISO 9001: 2000 and API Q1( American Petroleum Institute Quality Management System) to Well head equipment manufacturing and servicing industry at Muscat.

2) Excellent knowledge and skill in the evaluation, implementation of ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System and also OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System. Capable of evolving and implementing all three Management system ( Quality, Health and Safety) as Integrated Management System for the industry to get certification for ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 Systems at single stage itself.

3) The accent is on indoctrination and training of Quality Management System at all facets of operations. This includes providing bench marks ( SMART objectives ) in each area of work., building the rapport to all departments through effective communication thereby eliciting valuable information and profitable resource management at all levels of work. In simple terms it shall encompass all levels of management as participative management ( goals are set from technician to Manager level and are measured ). Also processes are explained as simple flow charts of activities which aid even for personnel with basic education to adopt and work towards the goal. This is possible due to my vast and excellent knowledge on MS office, and good computer skills. Once the tangible targets are achieved by the departments, their performances are recommended for adequate compensation and recognition by me.

4) Another important achievement in QA function is the customer rapport and effective management of ' Field Non conformances ' by statistical and root cause analysis techniques for the identification for effective corrective and preventive measures. In my present company due to this approach, the number of field non conformances have reduced by more than 60% this year as compared to last year. No stone will be left unturned in my efforts to bring down the non conformances to 'zero', of course with the fruitful co ordination of all departments.

5) All departments are audited, not only for their compliance to various requirements of Quality Management standards, but also for demonstration of improvements. Audits are carried out based on audit plan which is spread out all through the year.

6) As in charge for the department I am responsible for leading Quality Control activities, including Welder Qualification, liaising with third party inspection agencies, gauge control and all in-house quality control right from raw material inspection, final inspection and customer rapport.
I am in-charge for the measuring and testing laboratory for calibration and testing of measuring equipments.

7) I have excellent interpersonal skills and adept in bringing out the best from all individuals in multicultural and multinational environment.

8) With my effective knowledge in all departments, manufacturing, sales, contracts, purchasing, production planning, warehouse, maintenance and process engineering, it will be possible to co ordinate and plan and monitor Quality Plan.

9) In the process of Quality plan evaluation for the company, it is done through documentation right from the tendering stage and pursued with revisions ( if needed as per customer requirements ) and also it's implementation and customer satisfactions at all times.

10) Thus I worked as a focal point between the industry and customer for effective implementation and qualitative improvements of performances. This is reflected by the customer appraisal on our performances as we need to be ahead of others in the same field.

11) As head of HSE, I have evolved and implemented 'HSE Manual '. I was the chairperson for company's safety committee. The procedures in the manuals are based on exact requirements at all areas of operations. This includes among other things, safe journey management,

12) Manual handling, lifting equipment training and Job Safety Analysis. I am also monitoring and advising each department based on the outcome of tool box meetings.

13) HSE Plan for each year wass reviewed by safety committee for it's adequacy and enhancement.

14) Conducting and carrying out emergency plan, fire drills, safety audits, safety tours and HSE Management review were part of my responsibility.

15) Providing in house training on safety as well as arranging training on pertinent areas of operations are assessed, evolved, conducted and reviewed by me at as per HSE Training plan.

16) Providing the senior management with QHSE statistical data including, details on LTI, near misses with route cause analysis is carried out by me.

From March 1998 to March 2002

I was working as QA/QC Manager for a multinational company, manufacturing electrical products in Jabel Ali, in-charge for the entire functions of the Quality Assurance. I have also evolved, and implemented latest version of ISO 9001:2000 system of Quality Management as Management Representative. With sound knowledge on various standards,
I am able to handle the third party inspection with ease and with authority. I have excellent knowledge and acumen in setting up and Quality Assurance department and is fully conversant with all facets of Quality Management including statistical quality control, six sigma techniques and process capability studies.

My fascination for fulfilling customer requirement paved way for better understanding of needs of customer and hence in charge for attending customer complaints. This involves arranging site visits, if need be and coordinating with other departments. As a quality control function, evaluation of sampling inspection techniques for inwards inspection, in-process inspection and final testing operations are well enumerated by my Quality Plans.

From 1994 September to 1998 February

Worked as " Factory Manager" in Guardian Fencing and Security Systems Company Ltd, situated at Dammam, Saudi Arabia. I was in charge for 3 Ms, namely, Men, Machinery and Materials. Hence Manpower planning in fabrication for various customer orders were taken care of. Also utilization of machinery, including preventive maintenance were attended to. I was also overseeing the purchase operations for the factory. I underwent training in United Kingdom for the assembly and testing of Boom barriers and Road blockers. During my tenure I carried out two project studies

1) for commissioning of galvanizing plant and 2) for commissioning of powder coating plant. I have thorough and in-depth knowledge on all metal finishing techniques especially in painting

I was actively involved in procuring the orders from customers and executing them in the factory. Calculation of man-hour cost and subcontracting of jobs outside were within my purview. These were put into greater use in getting the profit margin for the work orders which demands huge manpower. Thus there was a happy marriage in the fruitful utilization of company's resources and bringing down the cost of work by careful and systematic approach in subcontracting.

With excellent inter personnel skills, it is possible for me to bring in harmony and productivity within the ambit of working atmosphere which involves working with multinational workforce.
Structural fabrication jobs were also carried out based on customer requirement. The company was also manufacturing decorative doors, aluminum cladding and decorating fencing works.

From September 1991 till September 1994

I worked as " Production Manager" for Saudi Cranes and Steel works Factory, situated at Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The Company is manufacturing heavy structural cranes and is involved in steel structural works. I was involved right from the material planning, procurement, fabrication, and assembly of cranes. Company is also producing sheet metal fabrication, including, Mild sheet, and Stainless steel material including cable trays and accessories. I carried out lot of cost reduction in the areas of welding, sand blasting by opting for better machinery and introducing correct methodology.

I was also responsible for preparing work procedures for production activities for this industry which is ISO 9000 certified.

Workers were also trained in correct welding techniques and proper working practices. I was project manager for two projects, involving Belleli Saudi as a partner for structural jobs carried out for petrochemical plants. The company is manufacturing EOT cranes to the capacity of 100 Tonnes.
