► Bringing Product Manufacturing In-house. A previously outsourced chemical component that was vitally important to the production of one of our products was unavailable from any other sources. Over time, the cost and lead time of the component had seriously expanded and was cutting dramatically into profit margin and negatively affecting productivity.
Results:
* Extensively researched the processes involved in producing this vital component.
* Determined the ROI and obtained the necessary capital equipment.
* Modified the facility to accommodate safe production of the component.
* Brought the process in-house, saving the company $80K/yr.

► Streamlining Manufacturing Process. Determined that the manufacturing of a particular product was taking much more time than necessary, given product specifications and client deliverable criteria.
Results:
* Evaluated the entire process and determined problem was related to "process overkill."
* Worked with both the client and our chemists to streamline the process.
* The process was improved such that cycle times were reduced by 30% and raw material costs were reduced by ~ 40%.

► Supervising State Accreditation Status. Several client laboratories were in jeopardy of losing their state accreditation (license to do business). Identified that the problem was related to flawed State/Federal prescribed Pass/Fail regression criteria.
Results:
* Our facilities would grade laboratories on their completion of our Proficiency Testing Products and report results to State authorities, ie. Pass or Fail.
* Acting as a liaison, I successfully negotiated with state officials to improve the efficacy of the prescribed criteria.
* Facilitated the modification of the Pass/Fail acceptance limits saving clients the embarrassment and financial disaster associated with losing their license to do business.

► Reversing Collapse of Product Sales. Company had a product that traditionally was a high performer. Recognized that for unknown reasons, sales were depressed in our municipal laboratory market. Personally called on clients soliciting their feedback on product usage to determine the cause of the problem.
Results:
* Identified the problem as an adapter design change by the manufacturer of the analytical equipment used.
* Acted fast to locate a product container that would work with the new adapters.
* Consequently introduced a new product that satisfied our municipal clients.
* Re-established the sales volumes to be consistent with a 5% growth curve.

► Capturing Lost Account. A prominent account had been acquired by price-conscious new ownership. The new management was considering terminating our business relationship and putting their projects out for the lowest bid. Emphasized to the client that our service and high-quality product line warranted further deliberation.
Results:
* Researched and compiled data showing client our history of stellar performance.
* Created a comparative analysis report vs. the competition showing long-term savings in terms of time & money.
* Client kept us as their primary vendor resulting in $100K in annual sales.
