PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

(A) Canada: CNRL - Horizon Project – Overburden Removal and Mining Services

* Daily planning of Mine activities, including pit excavations, dump locations and hauling and placing of different type of materials
* Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports regarding day-to-day site operations such as excavation and hauling of material, material placement and capture and construction of dyke structure as per specifications
* Long and short terms forecasting, in regards to material placement, labour resources and equipment availability
* Cost budgeting and estimating
* Attending internal meetings as well as with Client (CNRL)

(B) Mauritius

Design
* Design of a 5-storey office building and its associated amenities (parking, water reticulation, sewage disposal)
* Design of sub-offices (12 in all) for the Central Water Authority, in its expansion program.
* Design of a regional building for the State Bank of Mauritius, together with parking, security features, utilities and amenities.
* Completed pre-feasibility studies and designs of irrigation networks covering an approximate area of 2000 hectares (or 20 km2) in the northern regions of Mauritius, using "Canal 9" software
* Surveyed and designed HDPE pipeline networks (ranging from 90mm to 160mm diameter) for the distribution of potable water to some 25,000 inhabitants, using "WaterCAD" software

Site Supervision
* Managed and supervised more than 20 contracts (total value not exceeding CAD 5M), dealing with the distribution of potable water to various parts of Mauritius
* Lead a supervising team of 3 Technical Officers and 2 Foremen during the construction of 8 office and commercial buildings (2 to 5 storeys). The World Bank Conditions of
Contract were used
* Successfully completed, on time and within budget, the construction of a 3-storey building together with its parking, water and sewage facilities (total value CAD 1.5M).
The FIDIC Conditions of Contract were used

Project Management

* Preparation of tender documents, using the FIDIC and ICE Conditions of Contract for the construction of office and commercial buildings in Mauritius
* Appraising of tenders using specific Terms of Reference (TOR) and marking scheduling
* Evaluation of the amount of extension of time and liquidated damages to be applied to ongoing projects
* Preparation of monthly and yearly cash-flow estimates and scheduling for
Client/Employer, using "MS Project" software
* Formulation of Programme of Works and preparation of reports and cost estimates
* Chairing of fortnightly site meetings on behalf of the Client to monitor quality, cost and time factors of projects
